Excellent Estate Planning Experience

I went to Rachel Li, to update my Will, which she originally completed 5 years prior. The process was meticulous and communication before my visit was also excellent. When I arrived to sign the new documents, Rachel asked if I needed to make any additional changes. Rachel has an excellent knowledge o...f Estate Planning objectives and how to meet my needs.

Don't be fooled

At first Rachel makes you feel well taken care of and makes you feel as if she is a friend and will protect your best interest. After a year into I realized she was actually working against me in favor of the Opposing Counsel and was in cahoots with a better experienced lawyer in order to curry favor... for her own career. I not only lost a lot of money to her, but also to my ex wife to settle since I lost valuable bargaining power. Key factor that made me loose was a hand written piece of paper I was to sign in a fleeting moment with the summary that all it said was to announce myself before visiting the property my ex was living in. But in fact was a trick for the words near the bottom said for me to be obligated to pay all the bills too. This I missed for they rushed me to sign it and Rachel was in on it. I did not find this out until much later. She hid this from me for a long time for I kept asking her why can't I get the bills into my wife's name since I do not live there. This was an important power piece that could have made it more urgent for my ex to settle. Head the advice Rachel is not trust worthy. I lost a lot over trusting her.

In my firm, we advocate strongly for our client’s goals and truly care about our clients and the outcomes of each of their cases. We know from experience that litigants may encounter overwhelming obstacles during their case, so we strive to overcome these obstacles. We are here to advise, explain the law, and develop a strategy to overcome these difficulties. Our role in the process is an advocate and advisor, and we do so with our client’s best interests in mind. There is disappointment in every family law case because it is a hard prospect – compromise is hard, losing is hard, and even when you win it is hard. In Family law, attorneys frequently deal with disgruntled parties – spouses, exes, parents, siblings and other interested parties, as well as clients who do not heed our advice or are unhappy, mentally unstable, and become angry. It’s oftentimes necessary for these people to focus their anger at the easiest person – an attorney. Attorneys are bound by attorney-client privilege, so we cannot reveal what happened or did not happen. All we can say is that there are always two sides to a story, and we will remain the consummate professional.

Great from beginning to end

During my initial meeting with Rachel she took the time to listen to my story, the reason for my divorce and then laid out my options. As this was my first marriage, she didn't just explain the legal stuff but what might happen when we started the process and how the emotions of everything can change... our course of actions. She also didn't pressure me for a retainer, gave me her card and said if I had any questions, she'd be happy to answer them. My divorce took about 6 months and she was extremely professional and kept me calm when we hit "bumps in the road." Once we got to my final court visit, she walked me though the questions and what the judge might ask me and it made the day easier to handle. I'd definitely recommend her.

The best!

I came to Rachel in September 2013 to take over my very contentious custody modification case after firing my previous attorney. She did more the 1st day than my previous attorney did in 6 weeks. She was knowledgeable, personable, caring and honest (sometimes brutally, but that's good! That's what yo...u want in an attorney!) She does not price gouge you and she truly is in it to help her clients. She was by my side, working hard for me against my ex and his attorney (who did everything they could to try to raise my costs to drive me off the case) until the end. Before Rachel, I felt defeated in ever finding an attorney that wasn't just about making $ off you! Rachel was my 4th family law attorney in 6 years! Rachel is the only one I would ever use again or recommend to others!

Excellent attorney

Rachel Li is an excellent attorney. I have used her to work through two sensitive family law cases, and she exceeded my expectations in both. Ms. Li is very professional to work with, but most importantly she is realistic in setting expectations. When dealing with personal things, I'd rather hire som...eone who is willing to tell me the truth and takes the time to make sure I understand what's being done in clear language. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a responsible attorney, and would definitely hire her again.
