Angel Berbarie

Angel is terrific. She is very knowledgeable and knows her stuff. She helped me through not only my divorce, but also through a subsequent modification of possession order to get custody of my daughter. She kept me informed on the status of the case and made suggestions on how to proceed which al...ways worked out. I would highly recommend her for any family law situation.

I sought out the services of Goranson Bain in an attempt to gain more custody of my two children. I had been advised by two other area firms that I did not have much of a case as most of my grievances were based on circumstantial evidence and hearsay. Also working against me was a nasty audio recor...ding that my ex-wife had made unbeknownst to me during a verbal confrontation, along with years worth of text messages in which her negligence towards my children led me to criticize her harshly (deservedly so, but does not look good in court). From our first meeting at Goranson Bain with Angel, the professionalism, attention to detail, and sincerity shown to my wife and myself by the entire staff was truly second to none. I brought with me to this initial consultation a very detailed timeline of events that had led me to file for the custody modification. Several months later, when we got to depositions, I was amazed that Angel knew absolutely every aspect of my timeline by memory. In fact, there were some points and dates that she was correcting me on. In depositions, Angel took all of the information from my timeline, the text messages, audio recordings, emails, correspondence with the children's schools and doctors, etc., and very respectfully but forcefully drilled the hell out of my ex-wife for 4 1/2 hours. We walked out of the deposition that day with a verbal agreement from my ex to spilt custody 50/50, which was a stunning development to say the least. This was my first deposition to attend, but I can say with certainty that Angel is not someone you would want to see sitting on the opposite side of the table when you are getting deposed, that I can tell you. When it came time for my deposition several weeks later, Angel had me into her office the day before in preparation for what I was about to go through. As I mentioned, there were some pretty substantial factors working against me that Angel knew would be brought up in my deposition. We prepared that day for almost 4 hours. The next day, after the beatdown that I received from Angel in our preparation, my deposition was an absolute breeze. She had me so well prepared that literally nothing my ex-wife's attorney threw at me could get me flustered. A few weeks later, we ended up with a mediated settlement agreement in which I received 50/50 custody of my children. There is no way to place a monetary value on the services that I received from Angel and the entire staff at Goranson Bain. Never have I met a single lawyer, much less a staff of lawyers, that genuinely cared about the outcome of my case.....and it absolutely showed in what Angel was able to accomplish for me with the odds completely stacked against us. I can not say enough in this short space about Angel and Goranson Bain. I hold Angel and the firm in the absolute highest regard and would recommend them to anyone in need of representation in any family law matter.

I was incredibly nervous about the whole process, and Angel made me feel well protected and informed. I have 3 children, and she was excellent at helping me navigate through decisions, child support, and agreements. We were able to settle very amicably, but I knew that if anything became a conflict... I had an excellent lawyer and team on my side. I HIGHLY recommend Angel and her staff!

I liked Angel right away, she was up front about my separation and divorce options. I was not excited about needing a divorce attorney, but I was relieved to hire her and put my situation in her hands. She has kept in touch and was extremely helpful throughout my divorce.
