Joshua R Kuhlmann

Attorney Josh Kuhlmann is licensed to practice in Texas and Florida, focusing on the areas of Criminal Defense and Personal Injury cases.

Mr. Kuhlmann grew up in Whitehouse, Texas and earned the prestigious National Merit Scholarship to Florida State University.  After completing his B.A. in English and Creative Writing at FSU, Mr. Kuhlmann attended Florida Coastal School of Law where he earned his JD.  During law school, he worked as an intern for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and later worked as a law clerk for the Jacksonville, Florida-based law firm of Moseley, Prichard, Parrish, Knight & Jones.

After law school Mr. Kuhlmann worked as an Assistant State Attorney for the 8th Judicial Circuit in Macclenny, Florida where he prosecuted misdemeanor cases including DUI’s, assaults and thefts.  Mr. Kuhlmann served in the Drug Court program and regularly represented the State Attorney’s office in community improvement meetings with Judges and Sheriff’s office personnel.

Following his time in the 8th Circuit, Mr. Kuhlmann again chose to serve as an Assistant State Attorney for Florida’s 4th Judicial Circuit in Jacksonville, Florida.  He prosecuted misdemeanors and felonies in both county and district courts.  Mr. Kuhlmann also successfully conducted numerous jury and bench trials during his time as a prosecutor, making him very comfortable in a courtroom.

Mr. Kuhlmann came back to Texas in 2013.  He successfully completed the Texas Bar Exam on his first attempt and joined the Law Office of Sean Chalaki and Associates, P.C. in 2014.  When he isn’t in a courtroom fighting for his clients, Mr. Kuhlmann is an avid hunter who also enjoys wakeboarding and surfing.
