Positive experience

My experience with Mr. Boyd’s law firm has been nothing short of exceptional. Jon’s knowledge of Texas law and years of experience dealing with child custody, make him an invaluable resource for any parent. From our first consultation, through several interactions, and until the complete settlement; ...Jon and his staff provided timely correspondence, and insightful advice on the laws and statutes pertaining to child custody, helping me navigate Texas legal system. This is a testament to Jon’s character, who truly cares about his clients and their future well-being. I would strongly recommend Jon law firm to anyone who needs help in Texas. This is a top-notch firm.

Need someone you can trust? This is your guy!

Working with Jon was a very pleasant experience. Jon is very professional, knowledgeable, and reasonable lawyer to work with. He was easy to reach and communicate with at every step of our case. He was very good at anticipating what the “other side” would have to say and how they would ask questions.... His witness prep helped me be prepared for being on the witness stand and handling questions/answers. We never felt alone throughout the process and had the feeling that Jon was invested in our case and had the same outcome desire that we did. As you can imagine, fighting for custody of your child is a very emotional experience – despite that, we felt Jon was in our corner every step of the way. If you need a family lawyer you can trust that fights for you, give Jon a call. Highly recommend Jon Boyd and his team.

So Glad we found Mr Boyd

We’ll never be able to thank you enough for representing and winning this case for us. From the first time my wife went to your office to meet you, she told me “he’s the one” and as usual, she was right. Your confidence, professionalism, knowledge and experience made the decision so much easier. ...We appreciate you taking the time to go through this painful process with us and making it bearable. Your knowledge and your assertive attitude gave us the sense of security we needed. Your patience to explain all the legal paperwork that came with our case, and the great advice you gave us so we could handle a difficult situation, are very much appreciated. We couldn’t believe how much you did for us, you drove out of town to represent us, that’s much more than any other attorney would’ve done. What you did for us was completely outstanding, we are so glad we found someone that goes the extra mile to make sure things are fair, especially for a father that was not aware he was a father of an eleven year old. We were in fear that we would lose everything we had worked so hard for, we even considered a divorce to save something, but we were blessed to have found you. We hope we never have to go through any other legal issues, but if we do you’ll be the one we call. We will definitely bring your name up if we ever hear anyone needing legal representation.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2003.

Fully Probated Suspension issued in TX, 2003

updated on 06/04/2007

Fully probated suspension means an attorney is technically suspended but may still practice law. The State monitors the lawyer's activities during the suspension to make sure that he or she does not repeat the behavior.

Jon’s comment:

“This action resulted during a difficult personal time due to family medical issues about 10 years ago. I was distracted from the practice and did not have adequate staff for a brief period. Since that time I've ensured that the office is always properly staffed and I have more tightly controlled our case levels so that each client always receives prompt and direct service from me. No complaints or disciplinary actions have occurred since.”

Partially Probated Suspension issued in TX, 2002

updated on 03/21/2011

Partially Probated Suspension means an attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. When the attorney returns to practice, he or she will be on probation, meaning the State monitors the attorney's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
