Lawsuits and Disputes 45%

Litigation is dispute resolution. Sometimes that means working out a settlement that reduces the risks and costs to both sides. Sometimes that means taking a case all the way through trial and letting a jury decide. My goal is to help you objectively understand the risks and costs that you face in court, and then to obtain a favorable result at a fair price. My litigation practice consists primarily of business litigation including breach of contract, fraud, and disputes between co-owners.

I represent clients in important financial transactions. I negotiate for terms that protect my clients' interests. I ensure that the terms of each transaction are stated accurately and in plain English. I have assisted clients buying and selling businesses, real estate, and interests in financial transactions.

Bankruptcy and Debt 25%

I represent both creditors and debtors in bankruptcy. Chapter 7 is the simple form of bankruptcy. Chapter 13 often makes sense for people who can pay their monthly bills going forward but need some breathing room to catch up on late payments. I offer a free initial consultation so you can decide whether to file bankruptcy as a debtor, or whether to intervene as a creditor in order to protect your interests.

Top Notch Lawyer

We have retained Kurt several times to defend us from the bankruptcy filings of others. Kurt has achieved each time exactly what he was retained to do while always providing timely updates and actively notifying us to when/where to appear and what we might could expect. As the need arises, we will ...continue to retain Kurt and recommend him for the needs of others.

Kurt Elieson- Urman family

Kurt has been handling our case now for several years and has done a great job in many ways most attorneys these days don't. He truly cares, takes the time to listen and fully engages in making sure every stone gets turned over prior to jumping to conclusions. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a... trustworthy attorney with years of experience!
