My case was very complex, untraditional, and in some ways unprecedented because I was the first female to graduate from the Guard Officer Leadership Development program. My sexual assault occured while I was in this program but prior to receiving a federal commission through accelerated OCS. Prior to my graduation the program did not keep records. Although the investigation is still open my lawyer guided, advocated, and assisted me in recieving the honorable separation from the military. Mr. Dishman's knowledge and expertise regarding the military justice system are unparalleled. He was a true advocate for justice and did not allow the military to coerce me with empty threats which did not apply to service members in my military status! Mr. Dishman assisted me with charges against me of abusive sexual contact and indecent exposure. I am a LCDR (O4) in the US Navy and was falsely accused of abusive sexual contact and indecent exposure; along with those charges the Navy attempted to add fraternization, drunk and disorderly conduct an...d conduct unbecoming of an officer. The Navy’s first attempt to punish me was to accept a Captains Mast. Mr. Dishman reviewed the investigation and suggested we request a court martial. The Navy then offered a discharge under honorable conditions and again Mr. Dishman requested a court martial. The Navy then admitted it did not have evidence for a court martial and forced a Board of Inquiry. The result of the Board of Inquiry was me being retained in the Navy with no UCMJ actions or letters of reprimand against me. I highly recommend Mr. Dishman to represent you in any military legal matter.

Brent is an absolutle terrific attorney. We are currently working on a Medal on Honor case, which Medal of Honor was wrongfully denied a Civil War veteran back in the year 1897. Brent has been extremely responsive, deals with me first hand, digs in an gets things done, and applies his instutional kno...wledge and experience, having been an insider at one time. The only reason I have rated him just a good in knowledgable, is that we are plowing new ground here in this unique case, and we are all learning some as we go. What we are attempting here, to correct the hisitorical record and an incorrect decison rendered by a Secretary of War back in the year 1897, has never been done before.
