At McKay Law Firm, we are here for the victims of the war on drugs, those that struggle with mental health hardships and the targets of mass incarceration. We fight to protect the liberty of everyday Arkansans just like us. I hope you will let us fight for you, no matter the charge!

I was raised in Arkansas by a single many of my clients, I struggled with was the most difficult journey I had to take. Ultimately the road to recovery made me more empathetic, not just with addicts but with all the hardships That often end in arrest. It also strengthened my resolve to fight for peole like you and me.

More often than not, the criminal justice system responds to life's struggles, whether they are mental health issues or something else in ways that make things dramatically worse rather than better. This especially true when poverty, class or marginalization come into play. At McKay Law Firm, we are here for the victims of the war on drugs, those that struggle with mental health hardships and the targets of mass incarceration. We fight to protect the liberty of everyday Arkansans just like us. I hope you will let us fight for you, no matter the charge!

In my practice I have represented over a thousand clients from across the state of Arkansas in criminal and family law matters. My clients have faced all type of charges; including, drug possession, drug trafficking, assault, battery, theft, burglary, sexual assault, rape, fraud, robbery, homicide and many others. I have handled criminal cases ranging from traffic tickets and misdemeanors to the most serious of felonies. My client’s results included not guilty verdicts, directed verdicts, dismissals, and favorable plea deals. My criminal practice has also involved post-conviction representation and probation and parole issues; such as, probation revocation, early release from probation, and parole hearings. I have helped people seal their criminal records so that they can secure employment and enjoy many of the rights they enjoyed prior to a conviction. Guilty or innocent, I stand ready to be your voice.

Great Attorney
This man is a god among lawyers. He kept a criminal charge and traffic charge off my record, and got my fine down to $200. I was able to keep my drivers license and my job because of him. 10/10 would hire again. Best criminal defense lawyer in central arkansas. He's also a really cool guy.

Couldn't Make a better choice for Representation!!
I recently had to hire Matthew McKay's services to represent my mother in a legal matter. We were all apprehensive about the case at first, but Mr. McKay immediately put our minds at ease. Not only is he a shrewd legal mind representing his clients with the highest level of execution, but he also knew when to assure us that everything would be okay. We were more than satisfied with the outcome of the case and it was all thanks to Mr. McKay's skills. I HIGHLY recommend that anyone in need of legal representation consider Matthew McKay. You won't be disappointed!

Badass!
Matt McKay represented me when I was wrongly charged with a crime. He worked aggressively to ensure that the court knew that I did not commit the crime in question.

Matt McKay is excellent!
Matt is great. We met and talked about my case. He listened and took notes. The consultation was free. After talking with him I knew I wanted to hire him. He represented me in court and we got a fair deal. He reduced my sentence from ~56 years in jail down to 4 years of probation.
