When I came to see Susan for the first time, I came with a lot of expectations and knowledge, and all of it was wrong. I thought I would have this simple and easy process of writing a parenting plan and it would take 1 month max. Susan was quick to tell me to brace myself for the worst because thin...gs rarely go off without a hitch, it was just the honesty I needed to prepare myself for the 6 months we ended up having to take to finish a very emotional process. Through it, Susan helped me not only understand the ways the laws could work for me and against me, but also helped me to save me from myself with my own emotional decisions. In the end, everyone won. My son has the financial support he needs, his father has the rights and visitations he deserves, and I have peace of mind that we can all now grow in our perspective roles without any more undue stress. Susan was prepared, bold and demanding with the opposing counsel when needed, but also showed great empathy for all involved. Susan was very efficient and well versed in areas where had I attempted to forge through my son's adoption without her expertise, I would have been completely lost and frustrated.
