also known as Price McNamara, J. Price McNamara: Disability, Life, AD&D Insurance Attorneys
After graduating from Loyola Law School in New Orleans in 1990, Price McNamara served as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable John M. Shaw, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, from 1990 to 1991. Following his clerkship, he spent several years as an attorney at Hailey, McNamara, Hall, Larmann & Papale in Metairie, Louisiana, where he defended automobile and truck insurers, as well as industrial offshore vessel owners and drilling contractors, in a wide range of personal injury and insurance disputes. During this time, he also earned an advanced master's degree in Environmental Law from Tulane Law School.
In 1995, Mr. McNamara transitioned to public service, serving as a felony trial division prosecutor for the State of Louisiana at the Jefferson Parish District Attorney's Office until 1997. That same year, he founded J. Price McNamara: Disability, Life, AD&D Insurance Attorneys and began using his extensive experience to help professionals, executives, hard-working wage earners, and their families in recovering denied Long Term Disability, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, and Life Insurance Benefits. This includes claims that fall under federal ERISA law, Federal Employees Group Life Insurance (FEGLI), Veterans’ Group Life Insurance (VGLI), and Service Members’ Group Life Insurance (SGLI). With offices in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Houston, the firm offers free initial consultations and handles all cases on a contingency basis. The firm selectively takes on cases, limiting the number of active cases to ensure each client receives the full attention and resources they deserve. Clients only pay attorney fees if the firm successfully secures financial compensation through a settlement or trial judgment.

expertise, compassion, and dedication
I'm so grateful that I chose to work with Price on my ERISA appeal case. His fee structure let me move forward with confidence, as there is no upfront cost or risk. Price understands the ins and outs of how the insurance firms evaluate cases, and I would not have been able to put together a suitab...

Effective and pleasant law team
Price McNamara is an excellent attorney for private disability lawsuits. We hired him after having won the initial “own occupation” benefit with a different lawyer. Once the company cut off my husband off after “any occupation” started, that lawyer declined further representation, partly because he p...

Incredible Results
Mr. McNamara handled both my short-term and long-term disability claim. He took what was a grueling, long and depressing/dark experience and provided the advice and support to stay the course. I can’t say enough about his exceptional team. From start to finish, their process discipline, commu...
"Price is a fantastic lawyer. He is experienced, smart, persistent and professional. An excellent choice if you need an experienced injury attorney."
"I've met and interacted with Mr. McNamara at national events designed to help attorneys understand the best ways to communicate with their clients and convey information that helps educate the general public. In fact, he has written (and made available for free) two terrific resources to help Louisiana injury victims: One is a book on how to choose the right attorney (and avoid the bad ones), and the other is a book that outlines the key mistakes to avoid if you have a personal injury claim. I have found Mr. McNamara to have a keen understanding of personal injury law and recommend that any accident or injury victims in Baton Rouge and throughout Louisiana seek his help if they have a potential claim."
