Compassion and ability
In representing our family, Attorney Sam Winston exhibited compassion, loyalty, as well as legal acumen. In large parts, thanks to Sam's repudiation, the outcome could have resulted in 10-20 years but was salvaged to 2 1/2 years. Our family strongly and wholeheartedly endorses and recommends Sam Winston if any is faced with a criminal charge that is largely unjustified. Sam is your man!

Fantastic Attorney
I met Sam back in snatch of 14' while he was with Jones Walker in New Orleans. I was battling a terrible drug addiction and had just been arrested in Jefferson Parish on Bank Fraud Vharges amongst many others (25 felonies to be exact). From the moment I met Sam at his office on St. Charles street he immediately made me feel at ease. I was still being dishonest with him on the true extent of the crimes I committed however he never once showed any frustration and always exemplified patience and tolerance with me when I wasn't the easiest to deal with. Sam walked me through the three year process and worked with the DA to place me in Pre/Trial Diversion which I was kicked out of and almost thrown into jail. With Sams help I was able to get back into the Diversion Program after his recommendation of me completing a 3 month intensive inpatient/outpatient treatment center for my addiction issues. I have been clean and sober for 7 months now and although It took a lot of work on my part Sam was instrumental in handling the legal issues behind the scenes so I had less to worry about while I was trying to change my life. I would recommend Sam Winston to anyone including my own family who needs a calm, professional attorney who knows his way around the court house and has obviously built relationships with the correct people.

Relationship: Supervised lawyer
"Sam has a truly excellent legal mind and is masterful in the courtroom. His ability to approach problems from all sides and to concisely and persuasively make his points means his clients really are getting the best of the best. Judges trust him; jurors trust him; and other lawyers trust him. Anyone looking for a lawyer in their time of need would be lucky to have him on their side."
Criminal defense Attorney | Sep 13
Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community
"Sam has a unique acuity in both the details of the law and the practical aspects of investigating and litigating cases. Many attorneys excel in only one or the other. Either an attorney has the knowledge to bury you in case law or the personal skills to shoot from the hip in a difficult moment. Rarely is a practitioner capable of both. For as long as I've known Sam, he's impressed me in both his legal capacity and his breadth of personal and litigant skills."
