My divorce experience was very well managed as a result of John Kinney's skills, knowledge and tenure in divorce law. John is very organized; his communication skills are stellar. He guided me with regards to what we needed and he listened to me regarding my expectations. He is very specific. He was ...well prepared for the depositions / interrogatory and was able to get additional information during that setting. John is a good judge of character and was able to ‘read’ my ex well during the interrogatory’s which prepared but he and I with what we might expect at trial. He was very well prepared during the divorce hearing and did an excellent job protecting me and standing on my behalf. He made me aware of any risks I might be taking, and guided me very well through a scary process. Post-divorce my ex didn’t like the results; he felt I was awarded too much. John was very thorough and direct during the seconds session which resulted in the final decision being “no change” to the original decree. John and his team at Kinney/Mason are top shelf professionals! I highly recommend John Kinney. He delivered on every level. I am very pleased he was my divorce attorney and will remain my attorney if I ever need one in the future.

Divorce is a difficult and an all-around miserable process. It was the most difficult experience in my life thus far. John Kinney handled what turned out to be a 40 month long contentious divorce for me. The case included multiple businesses, child custody, a large asset pool, a Guardian Ad Litem, forensic psychiatrists, 2 judges, multiple Attorneys, expert witness, 2 trials, and stall and delay tactics. What he ...told me before the first hearing turned out to be true 40 months later. His skills in litigation, his tenacity, his knowledge of the law, his experience and his financial acumen and the way he could cross-examine witnesses was unreal. He successfully negotiated a more than favorable agreement on child custody and disposition of the marital home and the result of two trials was what he advised he could make happen on the division of the marital assets. As a ex-lawyer and someone with a JD/MBA, I was impressed and recommend him. The cost of all of this was well below what I would have expected for what I consider the best representation I could have received for my Divorce.
