I hired Rene to help me negotiate child support and parenting time. She did the bare minimum and didn’t fight for what I wanted at all. She ignored issues that I told her my ex would bring up in court and didn’t speak up when they arose during our hearing. She didn’t communicate with me but charged m...e for extremely brief emails I sent in an attempt to find out what was happening with my case. She then withdrew from the case, although I didn’t feel it had all been resolved. I found out when I received a letter in the mail from the court and was completely caught off guard. Do yourself a favor and hire someone who will do what you’re paying them to do.

Find another attorney for your legal matters. I hired Rene as an attorney for child custody/support issues. After being referred to her, I initially felt confident in her abilities to help me receive more parenting time with my son. However, I quickly found out that she was not interested in doing th...e work needed to complete the case. She repeatedly made excuses for not being prepared in court. Both the mother and I did not have any issues of child abuse, drug use, or delinquency on child support. I simply wanted more time with my son. After completing all the research needed to support my request to the courts, I was blindsided with a court document mailed to me by Rene, stating her motion to withdrawal. She never called or notified me of any issue regarding our working relationship. I am now in the process of finding another attorney before my court hearing and probable trial.

I would not recommend this person. She started off ok but once things turned out to not be a quick open and closed case the quality dropped substantially. She did not keep me updated on status nor did she follow up with the paperwork submitted to make sure it was received or processed. She spoke wi...th others individuals not involved in my case, without my consent and then billed me for it. She got mad at me if I questioned her on anything or shown her anything disproved what she told me and eventually quit leaving unfinished business that she told me she would do. I was left with her bill and having to find someone else to finish the job.
