Very professional and knowledgeable

Divorce Lawyer

I contacted Mr. Huerter about filing for a divorce. After speaking with him the first time, Mr. Huerter answered my questions and listened to my concerns. I hired him to represent me. He gave me his business card and all the necessary documents to complete for my divorce. He worked cooperatively with my ex's lawyer. Mr. Huerter's office did a great job of scheduling a phone conference within twenty-four hours when I had a question or information about my case. Mr. Huerter never missed a phone conference and all final legal documents were drawn up effectively and efficiently.

Joe is a trial lawyer. He brings his litigation skills to a variety of matters. Joe handles major felony cases, including numerous homicides, drug cases and sex offenses, as well as DUI, property and traffic crimes. Joe has taught continuing legal education on the art and science of voir dire (jury selection) for the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, the Kansas Bar Association and other attorney groups. Joe graduated from Benedictine College and Washburn Law in 5 1/2 years at just 23 years of age. He is a partner in the Law Firm of Tenopir & Huerter. Joe served 2 terms on the Topeka City Council. He has been a member of the Board of Governors of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association for many years and has held several offices in that orgainzation. Joe is recently completed serving his 2nd term as Chair of the Legacy of Justice Foundation. Joe is also licensed in the Kickapoo and the Prairie Band Pottawatomie tribal courts. Since 2011, Joe has been recognized with an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell indicating that his peers have ranked him at the highest level of professional excellence for both ethical standards and legal ability.

If you want the best in Topeka look no further.

Mr. Huerter was recommended by a past client and I could not have been happier they did. This is my first time ever having to deal with any legal issues and unfortunately it was my divorce. MR. Huerter always made me feel comfortable and reassured me that everything would be alright. I was so nervous, but having Mr. Huerter in my corner was the best and right choice. I was pleasantly surprised with how all of my legal matters turned out. I hope I never have to use a service like this again, BUT if I do I know where I will go for my legal matters to put my faith into. Thank you so much Mr. Huerter!

Joe Huerter

Joe has been great in an ongoing custody case that we have been dealing with for a few years. He usually calls back within 24 hours of leaving a message. Always does what he says.

Divorce

Overall, Mr. Huerter did an incredible job. He prepared us before each hearing and was prepared himself before the final hearing. We won our case and I was very happy with the final outcome. The only concern I had was when he could not be there for one of the appearances and someone had stepped in for him and that person was not prepared at all and showed up at the last minute. This made me very anxious and stressed. But Mr. Huerter himself was very thorough and very direct. If I had to go back to court I would hire him again.

Very professional, knowledgable lawyer. There every step of the way.

Joseph went above and beyond to be a great attorney. He was there with any questions I had, and I felt like I was his only client from day one. He asked me on our first sit down what I wanted, and in the end he made that happen. I couldn't of picked a better lawyer. His office would inform me of my court dates, all I had to do was show up, and he took care of the rest.
