Timothy Ambrose O'Keefe

Having suffered severe injustice at an airline in bankruptcy, I came to understand the value of legal representation in the earliest stages of difficulties. As a Legal Shield member since January 2017, I have relied on a number of attorneys on several occasions. This time, a condo building neig...hbor violated me publicly. I consulted with a criminal defense attorney who analyzed my case and assured me I was not in trouble. Unfortunately, the neighbor later escalated his violations to a point where this attorney referred me to Tim O'Keefe. Tim explained legal procedure and analysis in the detail only learned through experience. It is important to state that even though I could have found information on courthouse websites (had I known to go to them), I would have never been able to navigate the process myself. I did not know how to evaluate alternative courses of action or what they were. We decided on a civil protective order. Tim helped me complete the relevant paperwork, accompanied me to the courthouse, and we both handed it to the correct clerk. A judge looked it over privately and denied, to my dismay. I am now completely convinced that DIY'ing legal representation is a fool's errand. There are so many variables in our legal system that even retaining an attorney is not a guarantee of a certain outcome. Eventually, I had to close my case to avoid throwing good money after bad. My situation has been part of ongoing difficulty for the past 20-plus years; I am confident that justice will one day be served. Tim's acumen, manner, and experience are impressive. Five-star efforts did everything they could. My hope is that I don't have to return but I certainly would if ever needed.

Mr. O'Keefe did an excellent job of representation. My daughter was involved in an altercation at school. According to the School Resource Officer (SRO), he was going to send the investigation to the DA's office for charges against my daughter and the other girl initially. After obtaining Mr. O'Keef...e to represent her, he made all of the necessary phone conversations and letters that I believe changed the course of action. Ultimately, the SRO reached out to Mr. O'Keefe to state that he was no longer sending the investigation to the DA’s office after further advisement from his Supervisor. I believe it was the swift actions from Mr. O'Keefe that made the difference. Thank you so much.
