Douglas Christopher Fredrick

I decide to use him a second time, and I really regret it. He ended up being very dishonest and rude. When it was time for ne to deposit more money, he said I could deposit a "flat fee". I thought that he was referring to the total amount that I would probably need for the rest of the case, so I depo...sited thay amount so I wouldn't have to make another deposit. He later told me when I asked for my refund that he meant a change in contract terms even though he didn't specify he was wanting to switch to a new contract type. He then told me I am the only person he has had who doesn't understand what a flat fee is. He also said I would have hardly any money left in my account anyways even though we never had to do trial prep or the trial. I reached an agreement with the other half, and even though I told him exactly what we wanted and it was simple it took almost a month for him to get our papers ready. Then, he kept pushing back the date he said I would get my refund by. When I got my refund check, he didn't include a final billing statement. I got it, and I saw that he had miscalculated and I should get $1,500 more back. He charged me more per hour than he had earlier in the year, and he charged for both him and his paralegal doing the exact same task among other things. When I told him my refund was miscalculated, he told me I wouldn't get any more money from his firm. He also kept claiming there were things he could have charged me for (like postage) and didn't even though everything was present in my bill.

I am currently living in California with property in Missouri and was able to work easily with Doug regarding an eviction of a tenant without having to fly back for my court cases. Doug and his paralegal made the process very easy and kept me informed of every detail with very fast responses to any q...uestions I had along the way.

From my first consultation to the day of my court appearance, Mr. Fredrick and his para legal, Gabrielle, took time to answer my questions and were available by phone and email outside of the office setting.
