A Honest Review

I hired Mr. Fredrick to represent me in a very complicated family law/divorce case. Initially, he seemed to care about my situation and he offered many thoughts and suggestions. Mr. Fredrick's concern and effort evaporated steadily with each of my checks he cashed. I was perpetually in the dark on wh...at was going on and what was being done. I repeatedly asked and pleaded for motions to be submitted and specific steps to be taken to stop my former spouse from ruining my relationship with my children and stripping me of my ability to be a father. 10 months later, not a single motion was made in my defense. Nothing was prepared for the trial. None of my witness were contacted in time to appear. None of my evidence was submitted in time to be used. Ultimately, I was forced to settle. The worst part was that Mr. Fredrick made me feel like the outcome was my fault. At my lowest point, I asked Mr. Fredrick why nothing was done, why nothing was prepared, and why there was no justice. He told me that he would still go to trial for me, but the judge's decision would probably be worse than the terms of the settlement. He followed with, "pick what hill you want to die on." At the start, I was sure that I had found a skilled attorney and an advocate who would represent me and the best interests of my children. Mr. Fredrick's statements and advice gave me a false sense of hope that justice existed in family court- Make no mistake about this- IT DOES NOT. Before I signed my name to the settlement, Mr. Fredrick revealed his true position: Justice doesn't exist in family law. The court is only there to conduct conflict resolution, if a little justice takes place- great, but that isn't the court's objective, he told me... I wish he had been so honest before I paid him so many thousands of dollars. In truth, I believe Mr. Fredrick is very smart and capable. However, if you are a father looking to retain any shred of what being a father means to you- then I would strongly advise you NOT to retain Mr. Fredrick. My case is a lost cause, but this review might save another from experiencing the disappointment and anguish that I experienced after retaining Mr. Fredrick. Simply Truth: If you are a father in need of an effective divorce attorney, DO NOT retain Mr. Fredrick.

Outstanding, couldn't recommend more!!! Doug Fredrick was highly recommended for divorces with military personnel. I agree!!

Doug Fredrick represented me during a most difficult time – my divorce of almost 20-year marriage. I had just relocated to Springfield, MO and did not know anyone that could give me a personal recommendation of an attorney that would best represent me, with the necessary military experience, since m...y husband retired military. After calling many attorneys and hearing the same recommendation, to call Doug Fredrick for a proven attorney to handle a divorce case with a retired military spouse, I knew I needed to meet with Mr. Fredrick! I must say, from the very first meeting through the completion of the divorce, Doug walked with me through each process and explained everything. Though the divorce was painful, Doug showed much compassion, while making sure my best interest was represented yet maintained a fair position! I respected this greatly! Even after the divorce, when other parties attempted to be less than honest, Doug was quick to insure the agreements were met and again, followed up months later to verify the agreement was continuing to be fulfilled. I feel quite fortunate to have had Doug Fredrick represent me during a time that I felt very vulnerable and unable to “muster” the strength to do it on my own. You also would be well represented if he were your attorney. Well wishes to you! Laura H Aug 2013

Top notch attorney and staff

Attorney Doug Fredrick and his staff are absolutely the best law firm I have worked with. Going through a terribly bad divorce, Doug and his paralegal Linda Carter made things much less stressful. Doug always got back to me with answers to my questions or advice very promptly. His fees are very re...asonable and he made a true attempt at keeping the fees down. His professionalism Is unmatched and his court room ethics are astounding. Paralegal Linda Carter worked tirelessly to make our case less stressful. She was very professional while also being very supportive and patient with me throughout the entire process. I highly recomend The Law Office of Doug Fredrick. You wont be disappointed.
