Took over 3k from me for retainer and more did absolutely nothing positive for my case. Withdrew a month before my trial and is a complete scum bag. Do not recommend and would never wish her to represent anyone. She has a sign posted right in her office as you walk in that is a complete lie. She's a ...liar and a money robber.

I hired Laurie for a divorce case due to the ratings and what I heard. It did not go well. There was very little to no communication being exchanged back to me. ie, I was not cc'ed or provided with copies of documents that were exchanged to or with the opposing side. Therefore, I never knew what was ...going on nor was I ever told what to expect. I was given minimal instruction to file documents, denied assistance in completing them. Later, I was told I shouldn't have filed them and blamed for it. My concerns were listed in the areas where performance was subpar along with no prep for me for court as I was completely caught off guard. Laurie became adversarial and it did not feel that she was working in my best interest. Moving forward I didn't feel that I was getting 100% or that there was a full investment into my case. Therefore, I decided to find new counsel.

The first time I contacted Laurie I had know idea what I was doing or if I even needed a lawyer. I contacted her through her Facebook ad and she called me within the hour. She wasn't just an attorney going through the motions. She cares about me and my son, and has always gone above and beyond anythi...ng I could have expected. I have no intention of hiring anyone else in the future.
