Planning Kills Anxiety!
We spend a lot of time educating and helping our clients plan tailored estate strategies.
First, We begin with education. Explaining in plain English, or as close as we can, the various tools and resources we'll use to design a plan. With the goal of giving you enough information to make an educated decision when we make our recommendations on the design of your plan.
Then, we listen and ask questions. We want to know about you, your family, your goals, your hopes, your expectations, and your personality. We ask questions to dig deeper and to explore the "what if's" that can sometimes throw wrenches into the best of plans.
Lastly, we make our recommendations and begin to design the plan of your choice. While most of our clients' follow our recommendations, sometimes you may want to take a more risky approach or a more defined approach than what we recommended. That is great! At the end of the day, our core belief is that we design the plan our client wants... because, the bottom line is, it is your plan, not ours.
In addition to estate planning (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, beneficiary deeds, medical directives, etc.), we also assist clients with estate administration. Usually, estate administration means either going through the probate process in the county courts, or managing the administration of a Trust. These processes can be scary for someone who has never had to deal with them before. So, we act as a guide through the process. Helping you understand the whats and hows; as well as drafting required legal documents to protect you from liabilities that can arise during the respective process.
We're here to help, give us a call if you need help.

In 2006 my wife and I decided to create an Estate Package (Wills, Trusts, POA, Medical Directive); since then, A LOT has changed in our lives. We have had more kids, people have passed away, people have moved, and unfortunately, people do not get along. When reviewing our paperwork because of a spe...

"I endorse this lawyer. Scott is informed, responsive and creative in his approach. He is charismatic and effective across generations and he is reasonable in his fee structure. I am a lawyer and Scott is my lawyer. I am no fool."
"Scott represents his clients in a friendly and highly competent manner. He is a great example of the type of ethical and wise attorney that makes the profession proud. It is impossible not to be impressed by Scott."
"Scott is a sharp, hard-working attorney who gets things done. I believe the discipline that he learned in the military combined with his knowledge of the law make him an incredible weapon for businesses looking to properly set up shop or take things to the next level. I recommend Scott with no reservations."
"Scott brings a common sense approach to helping his small-business clients meet their legal needs. Many business owners have other advisors (accountants, financial advisors, etc.), and Scott works collaboratively with other professional advisors to make sure his clients receive excellent service. Scott's experience in the JAG Corps gives him a broad background, which enables him to recognize issues that his clients may face -- even before those issues become problems. As a member of the bar, Scott maintains the highest standards of honor and integrity. As a peer, he is quick to brainstorm ideas when I simply need another experienced attorney to provide perspective. Scott is responsive, down-to-earth and approachable. He puts clients at ease and makes sure they understand their rights."
"I have known Scott Welch since we served together in the Air Force. He has always displayed a keen intellect, a creative mind, and exhibits service before self by going out of his way for his clients. I strongly endorse him as an attorney."
"Scott is a great attorney and person. He works closely with his clients and put their best interests first. I would recommend him to my closest friends and family."
"Scott always puts his clients interests first. I appreciate his unique method of helping clients stay on top of their legal needs."
