My now ex-wife failed on the acrimony measure, and I was forced to end my formal relationship with Marjorie and to hire an aforementioned expensive law firm. After months of wrangling through our different law firms, my ex and I agreed on a settlement and were divorced. Nonetheless, I kept in contact with Marjorie throughout the process and provided insightful advice and, as important, comforting words of encouragement. As Marjorie had predicted, that settlement was precisely the one she had laid out in those early meetings, except I had a large payment to the litigating law firm. I sought Marjorie's services when an unexpected pregnancy (not mine) complicated the mediated divorce that was in process, just to have someone in my court that I could use as a sounding board for questions. One of the main issues that Marjorie assisted with was wording around the various scenario...s in which my name would come off of the marital residence. For the stability of my daughters, I had agreed to allow my ex-wife to remain at the marital residence with my daughters until I had fulfilled my agreed upon maintenance responsibility.
