Save your money and stay away

If you want to loose your divorce case hire Jay Fisk. I hired him and payed him upfront to represent me in my divorce trial. I provided evidence that he could have used in trial to show my ex wife behavior during marriage and he decided to ignore it and not mention it to the judge. He withdraw as my ...attorney just after the judgment was final. I filed a motion for reconsideration afterwards, but the judge rejected it and said the evidence I submitted was not provided by my lawyer in trial. I cannot afford to appeal the case and you may end up with just more debt anyway. I incurred a huge debt after my trial where my ex clearly said in trial she did't contribute anything to the marital property. My trial was a joke and one thing for sure this lawyer won't fight for you in court. You will have better chances if you represent yourself than hire this attorney.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
