Amy Lashay Gervich

When I started with Amy she had one paralegal working for her when I filed for my divorce in May 2015. For what I was told a 3 month process ending up taking close to a year because of her paralegal she did have working for her never filed the necessary paperwork. I have never seen such incompetence.... Stay far far away from her.

I hired Amy 3 years go for my custody case. So far I'm up to over $4000 in legal fees. Amy does not communicate with me in regards to updates or filings. I have to continuously contact her paralegals to even receive an email or call back. The evidence I have provided to Amy for my case was not taken ...into account either. I'm sorry but I will not hire an attorney that does not fight for my case after paying out $4000. Please due your diligence before hiring.

My wife and I were married for 12 years (together since college) and had 3 kids at the time I found out she was cheating on me. I was thinking with my heart, not my head. It wasn't the worst agreement out there, but it also wasn't the best I could have gotten. My biggest regret is not finding Amy straight out of the gates 3 years ago. Fast forward to 1 year into operating off of my original parenting plan. There had been a substantial change of circumstances and I felt I had a case and was able to pursue a motion for a modification. I met with Amy on a Tuesday afternoon and my life has significantly changed for the better in the past 18 months. Amy was incredibly honest up front and specifically told me she wouldn't be able to get me everything I was asking for, but she'd be able to get me 80% of it. She got me 96%. I asked for 50 things and she won 48 of them. Every case is different and it's not an overnight process, but the best thing I could have ever done for my children was made a call to Amy's office. She exceeded my expectations. She is professional, kind, warm, friendly, and made me feel so safe in her hands. She's a pit bull in the courtroom and there's nobody else I will ever hire moving forward with any legal needs I may have in the future.

Amy was either incompetent or a fraud. First, I wouldn’t hear from her for months (unless she wanted more money). Second, she spent absolutely zero time learning my case. It’s not a good thing when your lawyer knows nothing about you after a year of meetings. Several times Amy would not even file the... necessary paperwork with the court resulting in a few postponements. My divorce took more than 2 years to finalize because of her gross negligence and incompetence while costing me over $6,000 in attorney fees.

My divorce started out peaceful enough and then took a turn for the worse. Amy was honest, kept me informed of the legal options, and of resources to keep my children stable during such a difficult transition. She helped me realize solutions where I could see none. I felt prepared to face the facts a...s things progressed through the courts. My life and the lives of my children are now in a better place due to the great counsel received.
