Amy Lashay Gervich

Highly suggest you avoid this lawyer at all costs. She will charge you thousands of dollars and keep your case going despite what you tell her to do. She spent over 3 years on my case and got me absolutely nothing in the end, specifically she got me exactly what I didn't want. Majority of the time sh...e is unresponsive to emails, she lies to your face then goes behind your back and signs orders you didn't discuss with her or even agree to... she's a fraud and stuck up. I would like to give no stars. Highly disassociated in her ability to assist with my case. Do not hire her.

I hired Amy in August of 2017 for a child support case. I am grateful but feel that her and her staff was very unprofessional especially with communicating with me. I wasn’t told of court date cancellation or if and when the new court date was unless I called. I can count on one hand how many times I... actually talked to Amy personally. I would always have to get information from the paralegal or secretary at that time. The case lasted awhile and during the pause period I was never updated on anything. I deliberately asked on several occasions about my retainer fee and if and when I needed to pay anything more please let me know in a timely manner. I was assured that I would be told which was very untrue. My case finally was over early this year of 2019 and once the case was over and I got my finally paper work, there was a bill telling me to pay the remainder. I was very upset because no one ever told me any charges that had accumulated. I was given the paper work in the mail and emailed never by communication. That is so wrong and truly unprofessional on all levels. Now I have incurred interest on the payment that was never discussed and attitude with a new secretary because I would not pay the bill in full. I will never use her service again. Amy and her team need to work on communication that is a big key when working with others.

Amy more then exceeded my expectations. I simply wanted an adjustment to my childsupport amount but Amy found out some other information that decreased the arrearages I owed. She only wants what is best for her clients. I told Amy my biggest pet peeve is not communicating, I had no worries about b...eing kept up to date, even if nothing new had transpired. I even received an email at 10pm on a Sunday! How many attorneys do you know that are willing to work that late on a Sunday? Heather and Nicole are extremely knowledgeable, neither will tell you anything if they are not 100% sure it is the correct information. My only complaint was the length of time it took to get a settlement, but that had nothing to do with Amy. My ex tried to string it along as long as possible, Amy did give them time tables to respond which did hurry the deal along a little. All in all, I couldn’t be happier with Amy, Heather or Nicole. I highly recommend them if you need a family court lawyer, you won’t be disappointed!

Amy and her team were committed to my case from the first minute we met. I felt supported throughout this very difficult process and I appreciated how accessible and dedicated they were. Amy brings a wealth of experience and passion to her work. Heather, her assistant, is just as lovely to work with.... I appreciated the prompt attention to my emails and phone calls, detailed answers to my questions, and their educated and compassionate guidance throughout the process. We have hired Amy twice in the past and she did a fabulous job both times. We had a divorce and custody issue and as frightening as that can be Amy was always there when we needed to talk and to prepare us for court. All attorneys are busy but she managed to be accessible in spite of the demands of ...the job.
