I wanted to be a lawyer and help people since I was 12 years old. I worked and "student loaned" my way through college and law school. I was the first person from the Nolan family to obtain a college degree and then a law degree. Among my many jobs growing up and throughout my schooling I was a paperboy, a bell hop, a busboy, construction laborer, pizza chef
I was privileged to work as a Summer Intern with the Illinois Attorney General's Office between my Second and Third years of Law School and obtained valuable experience there. I was a research assistant to one of our professors during law school.
After graduation from law school I worked at a small firm in Alton, Illinois (my home town) and practiced in general civil litigation, including both plaintiff and defendant personal injury cases. I also handled criminal and domestic relations.
After taking the Missouri Bar exam, I moved to St. Louis County and worked for several law firms handling a variety of cases and courtroom work, including: Probate, Criminal Defense, DWI Defense, Divorce and Family Law, Auto Accident Injuries and Worker's compensation.
In late 1991, I decided to establish my own law firm and I have been on my own in Solo practice since that time. Although I now focus primarily on Probate Law, Estates and Estate Planning, I have considerable experience over the years in many areas of law. I enjoy serving my clients and I believe it is a privilege to practice law.
I currently live in Creve Couer and I am a member of the Creve Coeur Police and Public Safety Committee. Among my hobbies are running half marathons, cycling, DIY home projects and playing the guitar.

Mr. Nolan was professional, efficient, and more than met my expectations as a dependable, competent attorney. He made my divorce and bankruptcy smooth. He was personable and reliable. Highly recommended.
"I endorse this lawyer. I know Lloyd to be an excellent attorney who treats his clients well. I have been on the opposing side as him on a case, and found him to be easy to work with while aggressively advocating his client's position. I would feel comfortable referring clients to him should the need arise."
"I endorse this lawyer becasue Mr. Nolan is skilled attorney and a fervent advocate for his clients."
"I endorse this lawyer. Lloyd and I worked for he same law firm 29 years ago. He was very knowledgeable in bankruptcy 29 years ago and has continued to refine his expertise in bankruptcy over the years. He is an excellent attorney."
"I endorse this lawyer. Lloyd is an excellent DUI/DWI lawyer. Instead of immediately trying to make a deal, Lloyd methodically reviews the case to see if there is a way to get the case thrown out and failing that, to find anything to get a better deal. If Lloyd thinks the deal offered is not good, he is not afraid to take the case to trial. I refer all of my DWI/DUI clients to Lloyd."
"I endorse this lawyer as I've worked closely with Lloyd on multiple cases over the past 10 years. What is more, I have sought his guidance and assistance on legal issues. I think the highest compliment I can make is that I've referred my own family members to Lloyd as he is exceedingly professional and I know that they will be well taken care of."
"When I encounter difficult bankruptcy issues, I often contact Lloyd. He is intelligent, accessible, and experienced in bankruptcy law."
