Craig Geidel Kallen III

Mr. Kallen failed on so many levels of my divorce and his handling of my case cost me dearly. There are several very important issues that have caused me to warn potential clients, his communication skills were poor. Very very seldom did calls and emails get returned. Several things that were hig...hly important to be completed and confirmed by Kallen were never done. I have found this out after it is too late now and has cost me time, money and some of it cannot be amended. A couple of issues were never followed through again hurting my divorce tremendously. Filing of court documents that never happened. Communication with his office staff was nonexistent. Things being drawn out and not completed now it's too late. Trust, communication, billing, seeing things through, understanding and acting in my interest. For me now it is too late but if I could help anyone to avoid this horrific experience with this attorney, that's what I will do. It is extremely unfair and sickening what transpired in my case so hopefully anyone looking into this firm will keep looking because I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy.

We retained Craig's services ($2500!!) and ended up buying an hour of his time for 200. He also wrote a formal letter on our behalf. Months passed, and we no longer needed a trial, so we have asked for the remainder of the retainer fee back to us. Here's where the trouble begins... Craig's office mad...e promises that they would get back to us with a bill for services rendered. It still hasn't happened. We have called at least 8 times and received various promises, but no actual bills. I NEED MY MONEY BACK! We have around $2000 sitting there in his office not doing anything for us! To be fair, Craig seemed knowledgeable at the time, but I am regretting my choices at this moment.

I mistakingly hired Craig to represent me in my marriage dissolution. His whole 'I wrote a book about keeping lawyer fees down' is a joke. There was very little movement with my case for 4 months but he kept collecting money from me. Very seldom would I get a direct answer from him. His explanation f...or what to expect next or what my next step should be was never clear. He kept using the phrase 'shoot for the moon' even though I was telling him I didn't want to draw this out or soak my soon-to-be ex for all he has but he wouldnt listen to that. He knew exactly how unhappy I was with his lack of follow through. If separating from your spouse and filing for divorce isn't chaotic enough, having a lawyer like him made things 10x worse for me. I would never recommend him to anyone. Please do yourself a favor, shop around, take advantage of the free consultations that most lawyers offer and stay away from Craig Kallen. I spent 45 minutes with my new lawyer and accomplished more that I did with Craig in 4 months.

Much like other s reviews of Craig, i also wondered which side he represented. My settlement was for support payment was over 100% of his original estimate and even 20% higher than the day we settled out of court. Does not listen and tries to make you follow his processes. Also, when using outside... financial assistance his charges (times allocation) did not match the outside resource. When questioned, he dropped the request for $5K extra.

Craig has been my advocate during my never ending divorce! He has gotten me through the actual divorce but my ex keeps causing us to go back to court. As a result, I have been working with Craig for 2 1/2 years. I trust Craig to fight for my well being, unfortunately the courts are delayed and t...he judges are overwhelmed. He spends time preparing me for court and depositions; providing words of encouragement to keep me upbeat and fighting for my cause. Craig is currently fighting an appeal for me that will "save" me around $70k. It is only because of him that I am fighting as after all this time it is easy to just give up and quit the battle. When I meet with Craig he is completely dedicated to me and focuses on the issues at hand. The one area in which he needs to improve in is keeping me better informed of next steps, length of time something will take and what documents mean . He is aware of this and is committed to improving his internal processes. Craig is also very aware and concerned about my personal safety in court, never leaving me alone with my ex. I can never thank him enough for making me feel safe in a difficult situation. He is definitely one of the GOOD guys!
