Was extremely unprofessional while discussing proceedings leading up to the court’s ruling. Mr. Kent didn’t have accurate knowledge of the law regarding my case which lead to a conviction. I would do my due diligence if I could turn back time and thoroughly vet this guy before working with him. Buyer...’s remorse and I totally regret hiring this guy!

Jeff Kent is one of the most honorable attorney's I've ever met. He resolved a warrant that resurfaced after 20 years with swift precision. Just speaking with him on the phone the first time I was impressed with his professionalism and compassion. Throughout the process he kept in contact, worked ...quickly and I was very assured by his calm demeanor. He had the warrant quashed and recalled on the first court appointment. I was in contact with Mr. Kent after being arrested for a misdemeanor. I found Mr. Kent to be very competent. His experience not only as a defense attorney but also as former prosecutor allows him to give insightful advice. He showed up to court on time and it was obvious he knew what he was doing.... I think his strength though is how he worked/communicated with me, which I imagine is consistent with how he treats other clients. He conducts himself professionally, yet is personable and likable. His advice is reasonable and assured. He is very responsive. I did not ever feel neglected. Mr. Kent was usually the one contacting me, rather than the other way around. Overall, I felt confident throughout the process that Mr. Kent is an attorney who would look out for my best interest.

I hired Jeff after an officer arrested me for a verbal altercation outside a restaurant. The cops were overly aggressive and didn't ask questions but just arrested and charged me with Reckless Conduct. Jeff was a former prosecutor in Chicago Cook County so the judge knew him and he fought to not on...ly get the charge overturned and a ruling that meant not guilty so I could get it expunged but he was helpful and understood the process throughout. From the very beginning Mr. Kent was optimistic about my case. It was difficult to find someone who was this understanding and not judgmental in any way being a male with an emergency order of protection. At the initial court date he met with me early to again go over my case and to alleviate my fear...s and concerns. The party that issued the emergency order was late and the order was dismissed. Then the person arrived. Mr. Kent advised me to stay for a couple of minutes. To my dismay he let the judge rescind the order in order for the other party to state their case. They continued with the order of protection. I asked why Mr. Kent had done that and he told me they could easily get another order that same day and we'd be back to square one. When the case went to trial Mr. Kent was once again very optimistic and professional. He calmed my nerves and told me what to expect. We went into court confident in our case to say the least. The opposing party had no chance. Mr. Kent has a talent with words and caught the other party in multiple lies. Neither I nor my witnesses had to testify. After the case was dismissed a man in the courtroom came up and asked for Mr. Kent's card because he was so impressed with the way he handled things. I would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone. He made a point to stay in constant communication and see how I was doing. Thank you Mr. Kent! I can hold my head up high again thanks to this man.
