Travis Life is an attorney at the entertainment, media and intellectual property law firm Leavens, Strand & Glover, LLC in Chicago. Travis has also successfully prosecuted complex civil matters in state and federal court, prosecuted copyright infringement matters and prosecuted and defended breach of contract actions.
Travis is an adjunct professor at DePaul University College of Law where he teaches Entertainment Law. He is also one of the founding members and current President of the Associate Board for the non-for profit legal assistance organization Lawyers for the Creative Arts. Travis is currently the Membership Chair for the American Bar Association Forum on the Entertainment and Sports Industries. He was named “Illinois Rising Star” in Arts & Entertainment as one of the top 2.5 percent of Illinois attorneys under forty or 10 years of practice in the entertainment field
Prior to joining Leavens Strand & Glover, LLC, Travis was the principal at Life Law Office LLC, an entertainment law firm in Chicago. He also held leadership positions at the Chicago Bar Association including serving as Chair of the Young Lawyers Creative Arts Committee and Media and Entertainment Law Committee.
A fifth-generation lawyer who attended college on a theatre scholarship, Travis found his calling behind the scenes. He developed his love of the Arts at an early age, singing country and classic rock songs and playing the trumpet. At 16, he became the youngest disc jockey in his hometown, working for the college radio station.
Travis is licensed to practice in Illinois and California.
