Scott Andresen is trustworthy, dependable and sensitive to your business & personal needs
I've known Scott for almost 25 years and recently had the distinct privilege of hiring Scott as my attorney. From incorporating my business to developing & reviewing contracts, Scott is extremely responsive and always informative whenever we are in need. Beyond his legal expertise, Scott knows what it means to be a business owner and has become someone I turn to for general business advice on a number of topics and issues. Best of all, when you need a "pit bull" Scott can bark & bite with the best...contrarily, he can calm your nerves when it’s important to act with a level-head. If you are so lucky as to hire Scott, you will realize you've not only hired solid attorney, but a trusted advisor and all-around great guy.

Excellent!
As an author, I needed an attorney for the arts. I was working on a sticky nonfiction piece that needed a lot of legal scrutiny. I found him here on AVVO. He answered my difficult questions right away. He offered me a very-affordable rate and he really dived into my project, even conducting off-the-clock research immediately. Although that project fell through because of the incompetence of my coauthor, Scott was right there going to bat for me as soon as I switched up coauthors. I have no doubt he’ll see me through to the finish line with this groundbreaking book. I can always count on him to get any job done, no matter how emergent and unusual the request. And he’s very approachable. I could chat for hours with Scott and know I was talking to someone who has my back in any situation. I highly recommend Scott Andresen and his law firm.

Excellent Attorney
Scott is a hard working and dedicated attorney. He is very specific and made sure that my husband and I were included in everything along the way. He will not leave any stone un-turned in trying to get to the truth. Being the first time our family has needed a lawyer, we were very comfortable with Scott leading us, we never had to wonder what was the next step. We have recently gone to court and am happy to say that Scott's dedication to us and his hard work found a judgement in our favor. I would recommend Scott to anyone who needs an attorney, a lawyer you can trust and expect nothing less then 150%, he has gone the extra mile each and every time we needed him to.

Fantastic attorney who defended me like I was his own sister
With Scott Andresen as my attorney, I had a thoughtful attorney with important practice expertise with the loyalty of an older brother. He pursued my case with the tenacity of a family member and protected me in a similar way. He was thoughtful about how the case impacted me financially and personally. I called Scott in the immediate aftermath of a horrible even that occurred during the taping of a pilot for a proposed show. I was pretty traumatized at that point. Scott had experience with the sort of people I’d been dealing with and was, consequently, able to anticipate what to expect from them. Unfortunately, these people actually blew all previous precedents for human behavior that either of us had ever experienced. The case plodded along for 5 years. I trusted him so much and was so traumatized as a consequence of the original situation, as well as the way the case was proceeding, that we agreed that he could proceed with the case without apprising me of every development. He would call me occasionally to update me about the germaine details, while sparing me any unnecessary exposures to the ugliness of the case. I have no regrets about that decision and was never disappointed with the decisions he made. When the time came to develop litigation strategy, I decided to add a litigator from another firm to my team with Scott. Scott merged smoothly with the other litigator and they did an incredible job parceling out responsibilities and collaborating on strategy. Scott was always incredibly cognizant of my bills. I always felt that he was doing everything possible to minimize my billings for the case- sometimes that meant pursuing less costly strategies, sometimes it meant pushing the work to more junior associates.

Making a difficult situation bearable
My lawyer Mr. Andresen was informative, walking me through step by step, always giving me options and keeping me abreast of what was going on with my case. He was not in it just for the money, he fought for me and got me the best settlement possible, keeping in mind my familys situation. Even when an unexpected additional issue arose he handled it in a timely manor and came back with an outstanding out come. He was honest, thoughtful and sincere. Never padding his hours. I can't thank you enough Mr. Andresen. He is at the very TOP of my list for recommendations. God bless.

Great guy - great work
For several years Scott has been the IHSA's attorney when it comes to trademark and related work. During my tenure as the Executive Director, Scott did tremendous work for us and guided us through both complicated and more routine issues. He has a great grasp of this unique area of law and the ability to effectively communicate with his clients. He always had our best interest in mind and was very responsive to our needs and concerns. He is a trusted, bright, and valued partner of ours. I highly recommend him.

Simply the best
No matter how complicated my issue, I can always depend on Scott to counsel me professionally and competently. Smart and generous to a fault, Scott has always put my needs above anything else. Furthermore, he's humble enough to consult with additional counsel if there's anything he doesn't happen to know.

Great communication
Scott has shown himself to be a great communicator and he proactively thinks of solutions before any "surprises". I'm confident this forward thinking has been an integral part in our successful interactions.
Response from Scott Andresen April 5, 2016
Even though "surprises" make life interesting and exciting, I prefer to keep our business dealings as "boring" as possible. LOL

Sports Law Practices
We have been a long-time client of Scott's law practice and would recommend him to all. He has reviewed and edited many sports law, endorsement, and sponsorship contracts. He has also helped in different lawsuits against various entities and is always on top of his game following up to ensure the best for us.

Review of Scott Andresen.
I've been working with Scott for a couple of years now. Without going into great detail, he is highly competent, responsive and trustworthy. I own my own company and use Scott a great deal. He will be the first to tell if I ask him something that he's not familiar with and advise me to turn elsewhere - if he lacks the skill to do something. It speaks to credibility and character. He gets my business and my highest recommendation.

Client Review
I was recommended to Scott Andresen by Marci Rolnik, Legal Director of the Lawyers For The Creative Arts. Scott has been most helpful working with my co-author, Terri G. Scaletta and myself guiding us and protecting us with regards to my book/movie projects. He has been an attorney who has always thought of our welfare as well as the importance of my book/movie projects to come to fruition in the most timely manner. Scott believes in the hard work that we have put into these projects and is there for the long haul of this journey. We appreciate him being accessible either by phone, e-mail and/or a meeting at his office. He understands our need to be "flexible" as we are working with screenwriters, producers and other professionals who are in different cities and time zones. Both Terri and I have and will recommend him to people we meet who can benefit from his dedication and service. Sincerely, Ellen S. Miller
