I hired Steve after our initial consultation call. Even during the initial call he took his time to listen to my full story and explain his next steps. He was very prompt on answering my questions and delivered answers when he said he was going to (something I have had issues with past lawyers givi...ng false timelines). He was able to read through all the documents I sent to him and then was able to explain to me in non-lawyer lingo what all the documents meant. When dealing with will/trust/estate issue when a parent passes is hard enough, then you add Covid and being out of state and it can get very frustrating. Steve was able to explain to laws and next steps I should be taking. He was a very efficient and detail oriented, which brought a lot of relief and clarity to me during a difficult time. I will be contacting Steve in the future for any lawyer needs I have back in Illinois (hopefully I don’t need to contact him again :). I hired Mr. Thacker for my disability case. The first meeting went well except went he told me that fibromyalgia to him was a middle aged woman's issue not a real disease but in their head. I hired him anyway and paid him. After that, he had horrible communication skills! I tried to call to ask a ...question and he would not call me back. I then sent emails and I actually had to send them two or three times over a two to three week period before he got back to me. Very disorganized, always on vacation and lost my case. I went with another attorney and won. The only way to get him to respond was to threaten to email his boss. After I lost, I asked a few questions about the reasons why and he told me that I could use him to appeal and pay five thousand, then he would go over my questions but that he wasn't charging me for the twelve minutes that he had been talking to me.
