Biography
Louis C. Cairo is the Owner and Managing Partner of GWC. Under his leadership, GWC has become one of the premier Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation law firms in Illinois, with over $2 billion recovered for its clients.
Louis himself has earned a reputation as a compassionate, aggressive trial lawyer working on behalf of severely injured individuals and their families. He has set record verdicts and settlements in multiple Illinois counties, including Lake, DeKalb, Kane, Jo Daviess, and Sycamore.
Over the course of his career, Louis has received many awards and distinctions in recognition of his legal achievements. In addition to being named to the Leading Lawyers Network and to Illinois Super Lawyers, Louis has been honored as the Italian American Labor Council’s Person of the Year and the Italian American Executives of Transportation’s Man of the Year. He has also served as the president of the Society of Trial Lawyers.
Louis regularly educates building trades members on their legal rights, and he has lectured extensively to attorneys through the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
When he is not practicing law, Louis enjoys spending time with his wife, his children, and his three grandchildren.
