Heather represented me with my declaration of invalidity of marriage.  I can not say enough good things about Heather and her team.  She made a devastating experience bearable- always having my best interests top of mind. From start to finish she was extremely meticulous while explaining the process ...and answering all of my questions- there were no surprises. Declarations of invalidities are very uncommon in Illinois but Heather handled my situation with knowledge and the grace I needed during such a difficult time.  She's incredibly personable and communicative and made me comfortable throughout the entire process. My situation was far from amicable and Heather did an incredible job ensuring that I was protected every step of the way.

Heather did an excellent job representing me in a very difficult divorce case. She is an extremely knowledgeable Lawyer and was very helpful in explaining the process to me along the way. She always treated me like a friend but at the same time was very professional and prompt. She kept me informe...d and always got back to me quickly on emails and phone calls. In my normal job I work with several lawyers and it’s normally hard to get a true recommendation from them. What I liked most about Heather was that she was not afraid to give me her opinion or recommendation. To me this was very important because when going through the divorce process I came across many situations that I had never dealt with before and wasn’t sure the best thing to do. It’s great to have a Lawyer that you can ask “what would you do in this situation” and you get a great recommendation from. Several times she came up with solutions to resolve open issues that both sides originally couldn’t agree upon. I appreciate that she would let me vent a little when necessary but then would always do a good job of getting us back on track and keeping focused. She has a great talent for calming a situation and coming up with organized next steps. We would talk through scenarios and always walk away with an action plan together. This certainly helped me keep this process moving and we resolved all of the open items in this fashion. I will definitely recommend Heather to my friends if they need a Family Lawyer.
