I retained Chris Maurer as my divorce attorney some years back...as I don't like to post negative reviews I hesitated...but now after having to go back to court to fight a weak & poorly negotiated divorce I want to warn others. The one thing that changed after I retained Chris was the constant tal...k about funds. I met Chris, described my situation & the assets in play - he quoted a retainer to get started and off we went. From that point on, the talk was always about "we need to get some more funds"...??? It was ridiculous & unprofessional - this was a weekly conversation. Long story short, he didn't show up for court. Tried to over bill me & then negotiate anything he could get. Chris is the poster boy for why most lawyers are despised. Take my word for it and look elsewhere.
