The Appellate court ... ruled in our client's favor, finding the parties' post-nuptial agreement to be valid and enforceable against the husband - particularly the provision requiring an award of the marital home to the wife as non-marital propertly. The case is a published Illinois Appellate opinion: Tabassum v. Younis, 881 N.E.2d 396 (2007).

Christopher J. Maurer represented the Plaintiff-Appellant on appeal in a defamation / libel case against the publisher of the Daily Herald, for false and defamatory stories written about him in the def ... endant's newspaper. We won on appeal, and were granted a re-trial which resulted in a $1.7 million verdict in favor of our client. The case is a published appellate court opinion: Edwards v. Paddock Publication; 763 NE 2d 328.
