Felony DUI Case

The reason I chose Mr. Hammel was based off of the letter I received in the mail and my first conversation on a Saturday night which turned into a phone consultation. The letter was very detailed, professional and provided instructions for a path forward. Mr. Hammel was upfront and honest with me th...roughout the entire case. I knew what to expect all along. He told me if I do my part he will do his, and he delivered. He and his office made it simple for me to succeed at managing my career and completing all of the preliminary work that needed to be done for my court dates. Although I felt in question at times due to the nature of my case, Ted provided guidance and confidence. Being charged with a felony is extremely painful and complicates many aspects of my life. I am moving past this experience having served no jail time, still employed, and have a positive outlook for my future. I have asked him to represent me in a revocation hearing as well. If you're looking for a good execution plan and solid representation, I would hire Mr. Hammel again in a heartbeat.

#1 ATTORNEY!!!!

January 2015 I was arrested for DUI, along with other charges. I had searched around for an attorney and had it down to two different attorneys to choose from. I went with Mr. Ted Hammel!!!! We had sat down at the consultation and he let me know what my options were. I had 3 different cases to fight,... DUI, Summary of Suspension, and Seizure of my vehicle. My biggest concerns were the DUI and the Summary of Suspension, my car was the least of my problems. I listened to Mr. Hammel very closely and thought to myself, WOW this guy knows his stuff!!!! I was ready to proceed with my case. First things first, Mr Hammel filed a petition to rescind my summary of suspension, and he Won!!! My license was only suspended for 12 days! On to the DUI, we motioned to suppress the evidence and to Quash the arrest. Well that day of my Bench trial came, nervous and very worried that the evidence would stand, my attorney Mr. Ted Hammel, was very confident in winning the motion to suppress. Guess what? The evidence was suppressed and the State could not move forward without any evidence! I would recommend Ted Hammel to anyone who needs legal help or advice. He was very fair and took care of what he said he was going to in a timely manner!!!! Mr Hammel is the #1 ATTORNEY!!!!!! THANK YOU MR HAMMEL!!!!!

Beyond expectations

I have no experience in the court system or acquiring an attorney, my friend recommend Mr Hammel, and I didn't think it was possible to go that far above and beyond my expectations. He worked with me where it was necessary and others wouldn't even consider it, the other firm had done work for my husb...and on a settlement, so they new us and still would do nothing till paid in full. We are on a fixed income due to my husband having a massive stroke, they made payment arrangements on the first visit. I didn't need an "in" He truly cares that people have the opportunity to good representation. Hebdid better than get the best case scenario for my daughter, everything was wiped clean!!! I can't thank him enough, you're crazy not to use this man

Helped Lessen the Severity of My Speeding Ticket

I received a speeding ticket under the new more severe law in Illinois. A friend recommended Ted as he helped her with a DUI. He clearly laid out my options and what he thought he could do, which was plead it down to a lesser charge that wouldn't affect my record. He was reasonably priced and easy to... work with. I paid a set amount upfront which covered my case unless we went to trial, which we didn't. I ended up going to court 4 times but it was mostly due to the traffic state's attorney being out on maternity leave, making it harder for decisions to be made. Ted was persistent and eventually got the ticket plead down. He recommended I start my volunteer hours as soon as we met, which helped give me more time to get it done. His office took care of the act of paying the ticket on my behalf and Ted will be going to court on my final date to show I've completed everything - I don't have to take additional time off to do either. It's clear he has a lot of experience with these types of cases and has a lot of relationships within the Will County legal community. I would definitely use Ted again (but let's hope I don't need too!) and would highly recommend him.

Amazing lawyer

I must say that Ted Hammel has been the best lawyer I have had. He is very informative about your case to you. Discusses your case and gives you your best options and tells you how it is and what to exspect. He dont leave you in the dark and still having questions. In court he remarkable, knowing how... to handle your case and being able to use the article's of the law to defend you and having the knowledge to stump the prosecutor in his tracks was amazing to witness. I recommend him to anyone that wants the best lawyer!
