I'll be the first to admit that I was leary of having to use a Public Defender on a DUI charge in DuPage County. Mr. Sweeney showed to me that he had vast knowledge of his field and he did everything he could in his power to get the best outcome for me and he did that in spades as I was hit with a dui charge for smoking cannabis and had admitted to doing so. Right off the bat the odds were weighed against us a...nd in favor of the prosecution but he saw some discrepancies and was able to show the court that although i had admitted to smoking cannabis it did not show that it impaired my ability to drive. This is a PUBLIC DEFENDER! that had a million cases around the same time as mine but didn't let that get in the way of my own.
