When you talk about an absolute miracle you talk about Michael Sweeny. It took me more than a month after my case to write this review because I wanted to write the perfect review for the perfect lawyer. I hired Mr. Sweeny for my very difficult case which I thought had no hope to be honest. He was ve...ry efficient, quick to act and thorough, and instilled a lot of confidence throughout the process. My case could have had a potentially very damaging outcome, however, it was resolved positively, with much better results than I or anyone else in that courtroom could have ever expected. I was met with stellar communication skills, excellent and professional representation and understanding without judgement. Any aspect of my case that he was not familiar with was met with profound research and that made me feel hopeful because my case had damaging effects on other parts of my life. Words cannot justify the outstanding service, professionalism and excellent results I received from having Mr.Sweeny as my defense attorney. Ultimately, hiring him proved to be one of the more important decisions I have made, and I will always be grateful to him for helping me navigate an incredibly difficult time in my life. Top notch lawyer! From the minute he got involved with my case he looked at every aspect with care and precision. He left no stone unturned! I was falsely accused of a crime and was being told by the prosecution that I would be going to jail for years. I had done nothing wrong and lost a loved family... member in the process. I will never be able to undo the mental damage the prosecution had done, but at least the care taken by Mr Sweeney to make sure I wasn't wrongly convicted is as much a comfort as I can get. For some of us a Public Defender is all we can get and a lot of times I know people think "Great he/she is really going to defend me..". Well not with Micheal Sweeney. He is honestly AWESOME! He defended me twice for traffic warrants both times I was arrested I had more than one failure to appear a...nd more than one warrant applied. The first time he got me no jail time, court supervision and community service and I was sent home free of bond. The second I had the same situation I just knew this time I would end up sitting in jail a couple weeks (so I thought), however Micheal was able to make an agreement with the States Attorney to count the 2 times I was in jail for being picked up for the warrant of the same case and count the 2 separate days I spent in dupage as 4 days good time 8 days time served so after spending 2 nights in dupage he was able to get me sent back home to my 4 kids, which I appreciate greatly! You can tell he enjoys his job and he is extremely fair and he sincerely cares for his clients. He writes quotes on your paperwork to leave you feeling uplifted when you may be feeling down. It's is actually nice especially if you haven't heard from family or whatever the situation. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in a similar situation as mine. I just wanted to say thanks and show my appreciation because sometimes people honestly have such hectic lives and court dates do sometimes slip our minds and he seems to understand a d help to the best of his ability.
