Mr Sweeney was very helpful . I wasn’t prepared when I went into court and Mr. Sweeney was very helpful and helped me when I was in desperate need . He did not hesitate and was very considerate and made things go a lot more smoothly . I am very thankful and appreciate what he did for me at the las...t minute he is truly a kind person and cares about people that are in need of help . For some of us a Public Defender is all we can get and a lot of times I know people think "Great he/she is really going to defend me..". Well not with Micheal Sweeney. He is honestly AWESOME! He defended me twice for traffic warrants both times I was arrested I had more than one failure to appear a...nd more than one warrant applied. The first time he got me no jail time, court supervision and community service and I was sent home free of bond. The second I had the same situation I just knew this time I would end up sitting in jail a couple weeks (so I thought), however Micheal was able to make an agreement with the States Attorney to count the 2 times I was in jail for being picked up for the warrant of the same case and count the 2 separate days I spent in dupage as 4 days good time 8 days time served so after spending 2 nights in dupage he was able to get me sent back home to my 4 kids, which I appreciate greatly! You can tell he enjoys his job and he is extremely fair and he sincerely cares for his clients. He writes quotes on your paperwork to leave you feeling uplifted when you may be feeling down. It's is actually nice especially if you haven't heard from family or whatever the situation. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in a similar situation as mine. I just wanted to say thanks and show my appreciation because sometimes people honestly have such hectic lives and court dates do sometimes slip our minds and he seems to understand a d help to the best of his ability. Mike Sweeney has got to be the best lawyer ever!!! He made things happen for me that other lawyers told me were impossible. I had one lawyer tell me that I just needed to plea guilty to all charges and that my charges would all be convictions. THAT WAS NOT TRUE!!! Mike had 3 of my 5 charges thrown ou...t and 2 are only supervision, which is great because it doesn't show on my record. WHEN I TELL YOU GUYS THIS MAN IS AMAZING, I MEAN IT!!! One day I was so late for court and a warrant was issued for my arrest, my last public defender told me, "Ryean, just call someone to get your son because you are going to jail with a $1,500 bond (this was the price of 10% of the original bond, by the way)" I cried my little eyes out hearing those words come out of that man's mouth because I just didn't have jail in me again and I knew that I would be sitting for a while because I wasn't working and there was no way I could possibly afford $1,500 to be released. AGAIN, what that last public defender stated... WAS NOT TRUE. Mike represents STRONG, so I didn't go to jail and have to pay $1,500 to be released... I WALKED AWAY FOR FREE!!! WHAT OTHER LAWYER SAID WAS IMPOSSIBLE, MIKE SHOWED ME WAS ***POSSIBLE*** I'm forever grateful and blessed to have had Michael on my case, if I didn't have him representing me, I'd be sitting in jail. I feel like Mike really cares about all of his clients... he treated me like I was a human who deserved a chance. I've also watched and listened to him representing others while I waited for my case to be called and every single time... I was amazed. Keep up the outstanding work, Mike, there's so many people out there who NEED lawyers like you.

Mr. Sweeny has helped me not only smile in court room (because at times it is hard to do, considering the situation you're in) but gave me hope for my case.
