Biography
Daniel J. Kollias received his law degree from Notre Dame Law School 1999. He is also a e of the University of Michigan, where he earned a B.A. in Economics. During law school, Dan worked as a law clerk for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office at 26th and California in Chicago.
After graduating law school, Dan worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted criminal appeals and juvenile abuse and neglect cases. After leaving the State’s Attorney’s Office, Dan successfully owned and managed a restaurant and bar in Elmhurst. Dan sold the business in 2002, and returned full-time to the practice of law.
Dan has represented clients in many areas of the law, but primarily focuses his practice on family law. He handles divorce, legal separation, paternity, child custody, visitation, and child support cases. Dan also has extensive experience in appellate work, having prevailed in 29 criminal and civil cases on appeal.
Dan is an active member of the Du Page County Bar Association, and has given presentations on topis of child custody evaluations and challenges to paternity. He is certified as a guardian ad litem in DuPage County. Dan speaks Greek fluently.

Waste of money

I hired Dan on a very highly litigated case with my daughter. Letting him go was very difficult for me - and I regret it till this day.
