Before opening the Law Offices of Thomas Glasgow, Ltd. in Schaumburg, Illinois, our lead attorney, Thomas Glasgow was a Cook County State's Attorney who prosecuted cases ranging from DUI, to multi-kilo felony narcotic cases, to murder. From 1994 until 1998, he worked in the Traffic Division, the Narcotics Division, the Juvenile Division, and the Felony Review Division. In each of these positions he tried both misdemeanor and felony bench and jury cases, supervised other attorneys, interviewed defendants and witnesses, and helped prepare criminal cases for trial.

"I served as a State's Attorney because I wanted to help people. However, one of the reasons I decided to go into private practice was that I felt the criminal justice system can be a revolving door. I wasn't able to assist people on a one-on-one level. Through my criminal defense law practice, I have had the ability to change more people's lives than I could as a prosecutor. The Law Offices of Thomas Glasgow, Ltd. are located in Schaumburg, Illinois, about six minutes from the Rolling Meadows Courthouse, the third municipal district of Cook County. Our lawyers also handle cases in the Skokie Courthouse, which is the second municipal district of Cook County. Our office hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.

Outstanding attorney and a quality human being
If you are reading this you are probably feeling stressed and anxious either for yourself or someone you love. I understand. My story: because Illinois has no lookback period for old DUIs, even those more than thirty years old, I was in a panic when I was stopped in August 2019. Looking for the very best lawyer to represent me, I painstakingly researched attorneys online and met with several in person. At my first meeting with Thomas Glasgow I was impressed with his expertise and experience. He was forthright about my alternatives: because of the long ago DUI’s, either I would serve significant prison time or be acquitted. No middle ground. However, he was also confident that he could help me. His first recommendation was to contest the summary suspension of my license and against my expectations he succeeded in overturning it. Because of COVID and other delays, it would take another 12 months before the DUI trial would take place. During this prolonged and anxious time Thomas was attentive to all my questions and concerns and always treated me with respect and understanding. At trial Thomas’ years of experience were plain to see. His questioning of the arresting officers was highly organized and thorough. His demeanor was tough but polite. After hearing Thomas’ expert presentation and seeing the body cam video, the judge found me not guilty. I highly recommend Thomas Glasgow of Glasgow and Olsen. Thomas saved me. He has a combination of quality human traits and impressive legal skills which set him far above most in his profession.

Fantastic Lawyer with Top-Legal Skills who Always Delivers!
I hired Tom Glasgow and his firm to seal criminal cases out of Cook County and DuPage County The charges were very serious, and although I was not convicted of those charges, I knew it would still be an uphill battle in court. During both these cases, Tom never wavered in his complete dedication to seeing a positive outcome for me. He has excellent legal skills and knew exactly how best to present my case to each judge. He presented the court with a detailed information that undermined the charges filed against me. My petitions were granted in both cases. I honestly viewed this as a nearly impossible task, and many other attorneys did not even want to take my case. My family and I are grateful to Attorney Glasgow and his firm for everything they did on my behalf. Because of him, I have my life and career back. Amazing DUI laywer!
I got my life back thanks to Thomas Glasgow. I was facing a potential second DUI and was challenged with the daunting task of finding a lawyer who I could trust. After reviewing hundreds of lawyers in my area, I took the recommendation of a friend to contact Mr. Glasgow – and I am forever thankful that I did. Mr. Glasgow was able to skillfully prove my innocence and have all of my charges dropped for both the DMV and criminal hearing, which I hear is a near impossible outcome. Not just any lawyer!!
Tom has been there for my family for somewhere around 4 to 5 years now as our lawyer. He has helped my family legally multiple time and done from what a can tell miracles. I respect him and his knowledge more than I can say and truSt him for than that. The best thing I can say about Thomas Glasglow is that he is the kind of lawyer that truly care about his clients and what's best for them. I have personally seen him go above and beyond multiple times than what he even remotely had to. He is extemly prompt is responding to you as well as very efficient with his cases. He also has a heart of gold but is blunt with you on what to expect and how outcomes truly look. He's not just another lawyer looking to make as much money as possible. He puts his clients best interest a head of anything else.

Out of state business professional stopped by troopers while paying toll at toll both and ultimately charged with DUI on Schaumburg, IL interstate. This charge put me in a life changing situation and with no time to waste, I needed immediate professional counsel. Mr Glasgow the Best in the State of Illinois
I would recommend and encourage anyone reading this post to give Mr. Thomas Glasgow’s office a call. As a career Truck Driver holding a CDL practically unblemished for over 17 years found myself in a predicament facing a DUI. Not realizing how something as simple as having dinner with a cocktail could have legal ramifications in a heartbeat. If you get pulled over and the Law even suspects you have been drinking or you look tired and haven’t drunk anything they can perform field sobriety test and have you blow. In my case I had the cocktail blew over the limit and my life changed that very instant. Scared and confused I found Mr. Glasgow online and saw that his office was near the court house that my case was being sent to. Gave Mr. Glasgow’s office a call and found that not only he but each one of his attorneys embraced and gave me their guidance on how to best handle my case. Mr. Glasgow and his team of seasoned professional attorneys Mr. Beattie and Ms. Olson are very professional and meticulous at explaining the processes of Navigating thru the court system and its functions. Tom, I just wanted to let you know I am very happy with the outcome of my DUI case. Thank You for your hard work and for treating me as a valued client. You went above and beyond to get me the decision you got. I was hoping for that kind of decision but knew it would be difficult to get it. I don’t know of any other CDL drivers who has received a DUI and not lost their job. I would also like to mention how attentive you were. I was surprised at how fast you returned phone calls and emails. In my dealing with attorneys in the past they are usually very slow to return calls and emails, sometimes days before I heard back. It’s those type of attorneys that give attorneys a bad reputation. You are the exception to the rule and take your job serious and treat your clients in a professional manner and as an asset, You listen to their concerns and work on getting them the outcome they are looking for not just what’s the quickest and easiest solution. In my case you could have easily taken the district attorney’s offer at the first court date of supervision disregarding the summary suspension that would have occurred and then just said there is nothing I can do about the summary suspension. But you knowing my needs of retaining my job if possible chose to postpone the court date in order to try and work out the summary suspension knowing that a supervision on the criminal case wasn’t going to keep my license if I received a summary suspension anyway. That is what really set you apart from most attorneys. I think most of them would have jumped on the supervision on the criminal case without worrying about the summary suspension. DUI
In March of this year I was pulled over and arrested for DUI. I felt that is was unfair seeing I was just being honest with the officer. He pulled me over for speeding around 11:00 PM and asked where I was coming from and I told him. He then asked if I had been drinking and I informed his yes. I gave him the rest of the details and he had me do the field tests that he felt I failed. When he got me to the station and had me blow into the machine it was a .080 on the money. I new that I would need an attorney and was referred to Thomas Glasgow. He interviewed me and gave me the plan of attack no guarantees but he felt confident. His firm handled my case with professionalism far above the norm in the industry. His staff ( Yolanda Rosas and Danielle Cary) are top notch and treat you like family. Mr. Glasglow recommended that I have a Expert witness help on our case. His name was DR. Hensen and he helped clarify the machines limitations. This was one of the key factors of my case. So after five months of court dates I was found NOT GUILTY by the judge. I'm convinced this was do the efforts of Thomas Glasgow and his team of professionals. If you need help with a DUI case he is the person to call!!
