While traveling through Chicago alone (from MI to WI to visit family ) I was pulled over for using my GPS function on my phone and wrongly accused of texting. I was also going excessively over the IL speed limit of 55. The state trooper was unfortunately very irate and treated me very poorly despite ...my ready compliance. I did not understand the traffic laws and when attempting to ask was dismissed in the same nature I had been treated. It's very unfortunate that power means treating American citizens as subordinates. Regardless, I was breaking the law and as a result found myself with 2 tickets and a $2000 signature bond release (thankfully he let me go on a signature bond as I was from out of state and driving alone). After doing a Google search, I found AVVO and decided I could search for a lawyer confidently. Brandon came up as highly rated, but more importantly (and why I ultimately clicked on his name) he had significantly more reviews than his other highly rated peers (his 50 some to their 10). Upon reading the reviews, I found myself identifying with many of his clients: first time pulled over for aggravated speeding in IL, unfamiliar with tragic violations, made to feel like a horrible person, and on the other end of the experience, treated with care and respect by Brandon, given a thorough explanation with possible outcomes, straightforward communication, and kept informed throughout the process. I knew that what I needed most was to feel like a human being again and treated gently instead of harshly. My husband and I scheduled a free phone consult and Brandon lived up to the reviews we had read. He was honest about the cost, the process, and the outcomes. He apologized for how I was treated by the officer. He told me this was not something to lose sleep over. My husband asked how his fees compared to other lawyers and he gave us a straightforward answer: not the highest and not the lowest. We decided to hire him. He was very prompt with returning our phone calls and responding to our emails, always confirming he had received the paperwork we had sent him. We appreciated the care he took with us prior to my mandatory court date. On the day of the court date we were very pleased with his consistent character. The courtroom was VERY busy that day and Brandon had several other cases simultaneously being handled in the same courtroom. It was very impressive how he checked in with us, religiously letting us know the status. And often times there was nothing new to report, but he checked in nonetheless to let us know we were not forgotten. Made us feel very at ease about what could have otherwise been a confusing environment. As the accused, I felt very calm and confident things would end well. It was a bit of a wait due to the courtroom case load, but as we waited in the hallway we were aware of how other lawyers were handling their clients. Some were very brusque in their manner. I was very appreciative of the caring manner that Brandon chooses to handle his clients. When Brandon came to tell us it had been settled, it was the best possible outcome. My aggravated speeding was reduced to petty speeding. The fine was the lowest possible. No traffic school, no community service, and the second ticket for cell phone use was dismissed. And then there was supervision costs. (All these things will be explained to you on detail during your phone consultation.) I appeared before the judge, but did not have to say a word. The judge was kind and winked at me after saying, "try to be more careful in the future." I can't say for sure, but I believe that Brandon's reputation precedes him in the court as well. He was professional, caring, and thorough. If you find yourself in situation where you are facing thousands of dollars and months in prison (effective scare tactics) and feeling like a terrible person because of a speeding ticket, give Mr. Brandon Davis a call. He will treat you and your case with respect.

Being new to the area, I did not realize the speed limit decrease to 45 mph going towards the Skyway Bridge. I learned the hard way that 26 mph and over in IL was a Class B Misdemeanor in my case. Due to the many positive reviews on AVVO.com, I called Brandon Davis who returned my call within hours. ... As soon as my case was entered into the court system Brandon was able to meet with the prosecutor and judge to reduce my charge to a petty speeding violation, waive my court appearance, and have supervision granted by the court. Brandon communicates in a timely manner to inquiries (a big deal in my case), treats clients with respect, and handles your case with care. I couldn't recommended him more highly. Had my first speeding ticket and took Brandon on to help me with the ticket. He told me the possible outcomes and when scheduling conflicts arose he went in earlier than the court date to reach a possible resolution. Everything came out better than expected with court fees and court supervision. I ca...me out satisfied and relieved on my first and hopefully last speeding ticket in life. The cost is roughly what others charge in the area and the service provided was perfect overall.

I received a speeding ticket for not slowing down enough entering a tollway zone. I later found out that it was classified as a class A misdemeanor and would need a lawyer. I was pretty much in tears for days. I contacted Mr. Davis's office after reading all of the great reviews on this website. He c...alled me back within minutes and talked me through everything and what my best options would be. His fees were very reasonable, especially considering the alternatives. He was just very good at helping put my mind more at ease. He had everything already sorted out at the courthouse before I even got there and all I had to do was come up and stand there when my name was called. Got it reduced to a normal speeding ticket and only had to pay the court fines. He was extremely professional, courteous and caring throughout the whole thing. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I hope I never need services like this again, but I would hire him again in a second. Highly recommend!
