David has handled more than 200 bankruptcy cases since starting the firm. He enjoys more complex cases, including lots of Chapter 13 reorganization. His cases often involve restructuring mortgages to save people’s homes. While many bankruptcy lawyers see bankruptcy as the only thing they do, David is always looking for claims under consumer protection laws to help put more money in his clients’ pockets.
David started practicing law in New York City in 2009. Working the fast-paced courtrooms of New York was an adrenaline rush, but Minnesota was calling. A long summer weekend turned into a house in Northeast Minneapolis, and in December 2009, David co-founded Friedman Iverson.
Now that he's a Twin Cities "lifer," he tries his hardest to balance born-and-bred New York grit with Minnesota nice. He might still cut you off on 35W, but at least he's learned to wave.

I was desperately humiliated to need a bankruptcy lawyer. David was completely non judgemental and has been very kind as well as competent. Due to my disabilities, I was physically unable to get to the court hearing. David was able to arrange for me to have a telephonic hearing which helped me tremen...

David took my case when no lawyer in Duluth, MN (none, zip, zilch) wanted to touch it. That speaks volumes for his ethics. David and his team made an incredibly daunting task easy and comfortable. They kept things on track, are very organized, collected needed information, were always kind to me, alw...

Not only is David a great lawyer and works hard on your behalf but he cares about his clients. He goes over and beyond. Seriously! This guy will work harder for you than anyone. I know this personally... he did for my case and its 9 months later and he is still taking my questions. He is always the...

My sister actually found David's website and passed that information on to me knowing that I needed help. I spent hours reading a lot of the information that is on their site and became much more comfortable going into the bankruptcy process. I was greeted by the staff who made me feel very welcome...

I found David online to assist me with my bankruptcy. He made the process so easy, and helped me throughout the whole process. He is very easy going and takes a personal interest in his client. I would highly recommend him
"David is an excellent attorney and a personable guy. He is not afraid of complicated issues and he is ready and willing to advocate for his bankruptcy clients beyond merely preparing their petition. Any client will be well served by David's representation."
"Dave has experience in a variety of consumer law matters, highlighted by his work in bankruptcy and auto fraud. His personality and ability to make the law easy to understand would make any client feel comfortable and confident in Dave's ability to advocate on their behalf."
"I've worked in the same office as Dave and have spoken with him often on legal issues. He is an extremely knowledgable attorney. I have viewed his interaction with office staff, and he demonstrates highly masterful case and office management skils. He has a great way of making people feel comfortable and at ease, particularly in stressful situations."
"David is an outstanding attorney. The clients I have referred to him have all been very pleased with his work. He is intelligent, personable, creative, and an attorney who I very much trust to have his client's best interests at the forefront. I endorse this attorney."
"Many bankruptcy lawyers are only focused on filing bankruptcy and overlook potential consumer rights claims that their clients may have. This approach is a huge disservice to their clients because it often leaves significant money on the table—money that their clients could have used to pay for the bankruptcy filing. The thing that sets Dave apart from these other bankruptcy lawyers is his willingness to explore every possible way to help his clients. When I refer people to Dave, I am confident that he will thoroughly review their situations and—in addition to helping them file bankruptcy—identify and pursue any viable consumer rights claims."
"I have known of attorney Friedman's lemon law work for years but it is his extraordinary knowledge of bankruptcy and debt relief law that most people are aware of. He's clearly top notch for both. If you have financial problems and are considering bankruptcy, and his office is anywhere near you, David Friedman is your answer. I highly recommend him."
"David is an exceptional lawyer. He quickly spots issues and turns to solving the problems in front of him. He is a passionate advocate for his clients and will go the extra mile for them."
