From Beginning to End: Professional, Caring Service

Dan clearly explained the bankruptcy process and consequences. He also explained the role each of us would play during the process. After reviewing my documentation which I brought to our introductory meeting, Dan and I concluded that bankruptcy was the best choice for me. I hired Dan on the spot!... Dan also offered me a discount due to my circumstances. We negotiated a payment plan, with Dan clearly explaining that the court related aspects of the process would not start until all his fees plus the filing fee were collected from me. What I liked is that Dan checked in with me by e-mail, phone and letter at key dates during the process. I like being consulted rather than just being told what to do. I like getting the "big picture" of what's happening -- context is important to me. Dan provided this communication promptly. Dan listens very well and is attentive, qualities that are important to me. As a result, my bankruptcy experience was calm and I was not ashamed that my life experiences brought me to bankruptcy. I can't say enough about the positive service Dan delivered to me. I would recommend Dan to anyone needing a bankruptcy lawyer. Thank you, Dan!

chapter 13

Dan Cooke made what was a painful personal decision to file bankruptcy as pleasant any experience could be. He took time to discuss everything that was going to happen, worked with my mortgage company to get a modification on my loan. I highly recommend using his services if anyone needs his help.

Pick Dan, he's your man,

Sorry the title my sound corny but I needed to grab your attention. With so many lawyers on the web it is hard to find one that stands out. I did talk 6 lawyers before picking Dan Cooke. First and foremost, you need a lawyer who returns your phone calls. I only had to leave 2 messages for Dan which ...he returned my calls in less than 1 hour! All the other times I called him, he answered the phone. He called me and let me know every step of the way, what was happening, how everything was progressing. Most of my calls to him where returning his phone calls. Everything went just how he said it would. He even called me 2 months after to see how I was doing and said if I needed anything else just give him a call. I'm guessing he had heard everything in the books being a bankruptcy lawyer, But when I talked to him he treated me as if everything I said to him was the first time he has heard it, and truly listened to everything I had to say. Never cut me off of rushed me in any way. Always made sure I understand everything. I am not proud of having to file, but I was left with no otner options. I do not leave comments just because; You need to really stand out and more than just a week or two. It's been 7 months and I still think very highly of him. For me that says "If you need a good honest and understanding lawyer call Dan Cooke". Thanks for your time and reading my review. Wish you all the best in your debt relief situation.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
