Tavis does not have a code of ethics

Travis agreed to be my attorney in a family divorce case. My wife has been being very vindictive and I have been treated very unfair. My wife has moved a full-blown domestic abuser into our home with my child. Travis took a retainer from me and then two weeks later I was beaten unconscious. I have ...been having a heck of a time with everything going on. Travis was the one that told me to move into the situation that left me with a broken foot. I was told on Wed after him being my attorney for two weeks he was walking away from the case. As I stated I didn't want to speak with him after the way he treated me. He knows there's a domestic abuser who is on bail in my home. Walked away! There is no code with Travis, his arrogance has definitely shown itself.

Unemployment during Covid-19

I had questions regarding unemployment and what to do during the Covid-19 pandemic since I am a self-employed contractor. He was great at answering my questions and texting back to me. I would highly recommend consulting with him if you have any questions.

Above and beyond

Travis represented me in my family court case. He is not only an incredible attorney but he is also extremely compassionate and understanding. He was able to help me through a very difficult situation and went above and beyond my expectations. I was very pleased with his representation. Thank you Tr...avis!

Bad to worse to satisfaction

I took a bad situation with a collections agency and made it worse, much worse. I thought it was going to be easy and not to complicated, I was wrong. I was slipping into the dark abyss of legalese by the time I contacted Travis. He patiently guided me through the obstacles and kept reminding me that... my feelings and emotions about the conflict had no legal standing. He negotiated and executed a fair and satisfactory settlement.

Competent and compassionate.

“I disagree strongly with the prior 1-star post. I have called upon Mr. Thompson’s advice and always carefully reasoned approach to my legal needs for nearly two years, including in the past two weeks. In that time Mr. Thompson has been quick to respond, thorough and clear in his legal analysis and... personal advice, and, more importantly, he consistently conducts himself with compassion and empathy. That someone would say otherwise, especially anonymously, is something I do not relate to at all regarding Mr. Thompson. I wish there were more attorneys like him.”

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I have known and worked with Travis for more than four years. He handles each of his cases with great diligence and creativity. I have been impressed by how he presses every angle, every possible claim and defense, until he is either certain that it cannot aid his client or until his argument is as sophisticated and honed as possible. Travis specializes in providing results to "smaller" clients; to businesses and families who want their disputes handled with common sense and compassion as much as by technical legal expertise. He has a touch for bringing a sense holistic justice into the case. This gives judges and mediators the impression that siding with Travis's clients is right thing, rather than simply choosing the cleverest lawyer. In cases about families and their businesses, this is key. Judges frown on trickery in these contexts, so Travis weaves the legal arguments into the whole story of the case. This is a rare skill, and one to be prized by the little guys."
