Took my money and did not follow through

Worst attorney I’ve ever hired for anything. Hired in December didn’t get me a court date until one magically appeared in June after zero contact from him since February after I made an ethics board complaint. Didn’t file motions that were requested, does not answer his phone in any sort of a timely ...manner, doesn’t take the matters seriously, went on vacation after being paid, then said he was sick and couldn’t get to things until that was over, had a motion filed and it needed a cover page changed to be followed through with which did not happen for months, took my $4000 retainer as fast as possible then his communication disappeared into nothing, this was for a child that needed emergency placement involved. Overall I’d give him a negative star rating if possible. Terrible attorney he’s a good salesman and that’s about it. He is condescending when you ask him questions as well. He did nothing for me and hasn’t followed through with what he was supposed to do. The ethics board is currently investigating him and it isn’t the first time this has happened. I have all the documentation of communication as well as the things he wanted me to confirm I wanted him to file in February which it is now June and hasn’t happened and he sent me a case transfer file with zero communication through a Dropbox notification I got in an email. I didn’t even have a single court case with him yet and he was hired in December. I requested a refund and he has failed to respond.

Liar

Took my retainer for nothing; never sent me a bill. Never prepared for my appearances. Hurt my case and my child in so many ways I filed ANOTHER ethics complaint. Google him and RUN!

Best legal support in the state of Minnesota!

Hello I'm a single father and the twin cities. My son's mother has made it very difficult for me to be in my son's life. I speak from experience. Travis is a true gladiator! When representing his clients he spares no expense when fighting for you to be in your child's life. It is an honor to recommen...d him at the highest levels of expectation. Fortunately for me I have Travis on my side who has years of practice in the justice system, and has the experience and not just family law, business law, and criminal defense law with a appellate court practice. Literally at One stop shop. He takes the time to explain best possible outcomes, as well as the realities of least possible outcomes. In addition to this his retainer and hourly rate are very reasonable. I strongly recommend his services and legal support to anyone in my network in need of the best representation in the legal market. Thank you for reading!

My savior

I have been going through a very difficult divorce that took six years. I had an attorney representing me, but she just kicked the ball for a temporary Di Novo two years later. Then, after two years, i went back right into a custody battle again. I was emotionally, physically and financially drain f...rom having a temporary custody of my four girls and no child support for a year and a half, mortgage and all the other bills that i had to face. I was desperate, traumatized and alone with my four girls. I tried the best i could, but i was failing miserably in facing all my obligations along with an ex-wife whose life mission was to make me suffer... I contacted many lawyers. But then when Travis came along, he was the answer and the one who helped me get my life back together. He is simply exceptional and handled my case in a way that i didn't think possible, at an affordable price as well. He worked out a payment plan that did not hurt me and my obligations and handled this case as his own. I would definitely recommend Travis to anyone who needs help in a divorce matter, because he will win and help you get your life back for sure. Having him is having certainty and SLEEP on your side.

Tavis does not have a code of of anything.

I retained Travis about 3 weeks ago. I did everything he asked me to do. Everything! He was condescending, threatening and not someone I would suggest hiring. Not only did he way away from my case after 2 weeks but he kept his retainer. For doing doing absolutely nothing. If you read reviews do no...t hire this guy! He's a thief and a con artist.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I have known and worked with Travis for more than four years. He handles each of his cases with great diligence and creativity. I have been impressed by how he presses every angle, every possible claim and defense, until he is either certain that it cannot aid his client or until his argument is as sophisticated and honed as possible. Travis specializes in providing results to "smaller" clients; to businesses and families who want their disputes handled with common sense and compassion as much as by technical legal expertise. He has a touch for bringing a sense holistic justice into the case. This gives judges and mediators the impression that siding with Travis's clients is right thing, rather than simply choosing the cleverest lawyer. In cases about families and their businesses, this is key. Judges frown on trickery in these contexts, so Travis weaves the legal arguments into the whole story of the case. This is a rare skill, and one to be prized by the little guys."
