Professional Counsel

Kristy is a consummate professional. She is thorough, sharp and resourceful. From my experience, Kristy handled our case with superior judgement and advice.

Excellent Representation

Kristy was very skilled and knowledgeable about the divorce process. She has extensive experience with divorce among higher income, higher net worth individuals, and was able to give me precise, experience-based scenarios for what I could expect regarding spousal maintenance and asset division. She... and her team were always available for questions and consultation. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend

I was involved in a very complicated and contentious divorce. Kristy was awesome. A quick learner who grasped the complexities. Was able to navigate the system including dealing with other attorneys, judges and mediators. It was obvious she was well respected by mediators and judges. Always resp...onsive to my calls/emails; helped to guide me through the process with great advice and tactical decisions as we worked through things together. A great attorney and an even better person.

Former Client

I completely agree with the other Google reviews of this firm. Ms. Mara (and most likely her partner, Ms. Honsa) do not see themselves as assisting the client of seeking a resolution, they are focused solely on billing. They frankly argue with you, the client, more than they do with the opposition ...and do not proactively seek a solution. There is no compassion, understanding, client care of anything of that sort here. There are many other attorneys that have an interest in doing the best than can for you as a client. It's not this firm whatsoever. Look elsewhere for honest and committed assistance at much more reasonable costs.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
