Joseph A. Bugni

​No one in our family had ever been in trouble with the law before, but my son one day found himself faced with the sobering reality that he needed a lawyer. We couldn't afford to hire a private lawyer so my son was assigned public defender Joe Bugni. We weren't very confident with that in the begin...ning, but we soon realized that Joe was "all in" for my son and he never lost momentum. I have to admit though, after Joe was assigned, I spoke to a couple private attorneys in the area and they reassured me that my son was in good hands and was lucky to have Joe Bugni as his public defender because he's the best you can get. Unfortunately my son was forced to plead guilty due to his circumstances and was facing a long minimum prison sentence, if not worse, however Joe ultimately got the charges reduced resulting in a much lower sentence for him. The only thing we were disappointed about was that the court wouldn't release my son on bond, Joe tried but the court absolutely refused to change that. We had to put our faith in Joe to do the best possible for my son and to guide all of us through the frightening journey that we were all about to begin. He dug deep to get to know my son and our family, as well. He made us feel comfortable from the very beginning, and all along the way, and always kept us informed. He's an honest, forthright man who won't give you false hope. Joe puts his heart and soul into his cases and treats you as if you are his ONLY case. He understands how important family is and realizes you are all in this together. He is always available to answer our questions or concerns. Without hesitation he was there to hold us up and he was there for my son whenever he needed to talk or be comforted. Joe is intelligent and is genuinely a very attentive, compassionate person. He showed us that he truly is the best you can get! We are grateful God brought him into our lives.

To be honest, I have never had a need for a lawyer of any kind until recently. And to be more honest I wasn’t sure if Mr. Bugni was there for me or there for his job. Before I go on with this review, I must tell you that I trust NO one and I believe that everyone is out for themselves and if you gi...ve someone too much information about about yourself they will take it and use it against at some point in your life. So with knowing that you can see why at first I was thinking that Mr. Bugni/Public Defender was just there doing his job. I mean really he sees how many clients a day and speaks to hundreds; he isn’t going to care about my case. But with our first one on one phone conversation he made feel like he was listening and not just there judging and he continued to help me understand the system and everything about it. By the time we had my first court appearance he had shown that he was fighting the good fight and he was there for me. He explained everything that was happening at the time and what was going to happen in the future. He spoke to me as if I was an equal not a person in trouble. He was very honest (which is hard to find in anyone) with every detail of my case and I never once felt like he was against me. I was told by other people to hire a lawyer instead of going with a public defender, because I would be better off spending money on someone that was going to fight for me. I left my last day in court knowing that Mr. Bugni did fight for me; I have no regrets choosing Mr. Bugni to defend me. I know I will never need Mr. Bugni again in my future, but if you are reading this and you are thinking about hiring a lawyer I would tell you that will not find one better than Mr. Bugni.

At the age of 21 trouble came my way. I was in unhealthy relationship with my daughter father and I was looking at 4 years in prison at one point until Mr. Bugni came into my life. He called me in county jail and I wouldn't open up because how did I know I could trust him. Then couple days after that... he came in saw me and promise me that he'll get me out to my daughter. He did. I would go to his office and his home for hours and go over my case. Finally after he told me "I believe you" I knew I could trust him. He was always straight forward with me. He put me on a path back to God. Help me be a better parent to my daughter. Made me notice how much I'm worth. When I got sentence I remember sitting there praying with him while the judge was telling me what he thinks I deserve. I sign a plea of a year and a day. Judge gave me 6 months. Mr. Bugni jump through hoops for me and my family to make sure that I was fine. I was a very hurt and angry person before I met him. This man save my life. If I never would of did what I did I could of been a very hurt young lady that wouldn't trust anyone. He made me open my eyes to life and to never take life for granted. Whoever has him as their attorney they're a very lucky person. This man will change their life for the best. He believe in me when I didn't. He showed me it's okay to ask for help and to forgive. Just be ready to read a lot, journal, be on the path of God, and have a friendship that doesn't end after your case is close. I know I said this a million times already but thank you Mr. Bugni you truly saved me. Thanks, Lindsey Fischer

I would highly recommend Mr. Joseph Bugni for anybody seeking defense counsel. I had an extremely serious situation and was very afraid of what the outcome could be. Mr. Bugni had studied my case thoroughly before our meeting. He did not care about his vacations and had came earlier just because i ha...d a conversation with him and he knew i was very upset. He promised me that everything will be alright and that actually happened. He is responsive, aggressive, understanding, professional, and exceptionally competent. I always felt the utmost confidence in him. He actually cares for you and listens to everything you have to say. He does ask you intelligent questions. He was not judgmental and never criticized about any fact. All he wants is honesty about everything as he does not want any surprises at the end. The more i say about Mr Bugni, the less it is, and that says a lot about why one would want him on their defense. ps, i am still in touch with him even though my case was dismissed.

when I went to jail my attorney was there within a hour two days after being in jail he got me out thanks . thanks to my lawyer I didn't lost my job or my family. for me that was very important at the moment . every time I had a question he had a answer .always on time never let me down .after all h...e got my sentencing of 10 year down to 3 years probation that its really good. everything he said he was going to do he did very honest person and understandable. and yes I will recommend my lawyer to anyone .
