The Best

I'm very blessed to have Joe as my lawyer. He fought like a warrior to get bond for me when it had been denied in the past. He got me bond in two days. I felt very comfortable with the way he worked my case. I was expecting a three year sentence, but he got me out with just one year of probation. ...He got my case finished in about six months--very fast! It was a blessing to have him as a lawyer. He's one of a kind. He cares about people, explaining all the issues and giving the best advice. What's more, he communicated with my family. He kept them in the loop the whole time and treated them with dignity and respect. I would recommend him to anyone 110%. It's hard to find a lawyer that cares so much about their clients. I don't feel like I had a lawyer; I felt like I had family representing me. He has the heart of a servant. He shows leadership and partnership with the people he serves. Everything happens for a reason, so maybe my troubles happened to bring me to Joe. I've gained a good friend. I just don't have the words to explain how valuable he is to me. Even now he's helping us find a lawyer for a different issues we've had come up. Amen

An exceptionally great and caring lawyer

With a lawyer like Attorney Bugni on your side you can't lose, he was a bright light in a dark tunnel. He made sure that I knew step by step what needed to be done, how it needed to be done, what he had to do and what I needed to do as far as showing the courts that my intentions were pure and just.... He went above and beyond, he would visit me in jail after office hours, it did not matter to him what time it was. When ever I or my family called upon him, he would talk to us and if need be return our phone calls no matter the time. I would say it was like divine intervention, that God and the angels knew that I was losing all hope of ever getting out of jail, and then God sent me Attorney Bugni and it was like a second hail mary. I would again thank him for getting me out of jail, and letting the courts see that your faith and trust in me was well deserved. I wouldn't hesitate to say everyone needs a lawyer like him, a lawyer that is willing to fight for your freedom.

Great lawyer and great person

Joe checked in on me frequently and made sure the process went as smoothly as possible. I've dealt with other attorneys who aren't so sincere, where I had to keep calling them, and I never had that experience with Joe. He was straightforward and never tried to sell me a dream. Joe walked me through m...y options, told me if this happens, this is what we're looking at, and so on. He gave me the equal option to make my own decisions. He's willing to go in whatever direction you want to take your case in. I appreciated Joe's sincerity, him talking to my family after court, coming to talk with me, he even prayed with me after court. He's a good guy, you can just tell he's passionate about what he does. Most people are just doing it for a dollar. You don't have many lawyers like Joe, people just want to get the dollar. I had a paid attorney on my revocation and I had to keep calling just for her to come down and see me. I wanted my paid attorney to see me every time she heard something about my case, but Joe did that, every time he got an update he called me and contacted me. I've had two or three other attorneys and I would rank Joe the highest of them all. My case was a simple charge, but I know if it was more complex, Joe would have fought the whole way. As far as his character, the type of person he is, he's a great lawyer. I would recommend him. I thought about getting a paid attorney, but the reason I kept Joe was because I know two or three other people who got good outcomes in their cases because he was their lawyer. Other people in the jail recommended him. People in jail said that Joe is a great lawyer and a great person who tries to get you the best possible outcome. I feel like I got a great outcome.

Professional and kind

Joe Bugni and his interns were professional, kind and walked me through the federal process. As a first time person in jail, I was emotionally damaged, and they showed me kindness and worked hard with my circumstances to get me the best situation possible in a nightmare situation. They even went abov...e and beyond what I could have ever expected during my last month in jail setting up twice a week phone calls just to talk and reassure me. At times I would let my emotions get the best of me, and not be as polite and respectful as I should have been, yet they still worked incredible hard on my case, and never made me feel judged. I am truly grateful for them.

Knowledgeable, Professional, Caring - The Best

My case was one that I don't wish on my worst enemy. The type of case that you are judge and convicted before the trial has begun. Judge not only by the state but in many cases you attorneys. I was wrongfully convicted and sentence to 20 years in prison with an additional 10 years extended supervi...sion back in 2008. A wrongful conviction due to the incompetence and mediocre legal representation. I spend almost 13 years fighting my conviction and my innocence. From Circuit Court to Appeals Court, to Supreme Court, over and over again. Countless motions, and countless attorneys to no end. Attorneys that at the end were more worry about their image and gain than the fighting for their client and the pursue of truth and innocence. It was then that I decided to appeal the decision to the Federal Court. That was probably the best decision I ever made. The petition was accepted, and the Federal Judge appointed Joseph Bugni to represent me during the motion, because its complexity. So, based on the past experience with appointed attorneys, my hopes went down ones again. So, it is hard to put into word and appraised an attorney after going over countless attorneys that only care about ratings, money, and political advances. That is something I thought I would never do. In my opinion they were all a dime a dozen. But to my surprise I was wrong. From the beginning attorney Joseph Bugni took the time to listen and did not judge me like all others. He made me feel like someone was on my side, and he proved that over and over again. He always went far and beyond, he always kept me in the loop, and always answer and communicated with me and my wife which gave us hopes. In court he was calm, knowledgeable, and professional. He knew what to say, who to hire, and what to do. He was always prepared for whatever the state might throw a us. He was always on time and always found a way to say the right thing to maintained me calm, in all very hectic and stressful case. After two years of countless motions the Federal Judge rule in my favor and re sent my case back to circuit court, and even when that would have been the end of his job, he continued his involvement in my case. He helped facilitated the appointment of a great attorney that with his help had the conviction overturned at the circuit level and affirmed at the Appeal level. He was also involved on all motions and willing to assist my state attorney at all levels. I am now out on bail and in the process of retaining an attorney to represent me once again in the event the state decided to do a retrial. Joseph is still helping me in the process. I owe him my current freedom and will always be grateful for all he has done for me and my family, for how hard he worked on my case, for believing in me, and once again giving hope to a family that was no more. If anyone has the opportunity to have him as an attorney rest assure that he is more than. He will battle, he will fight for you and your rights, he will take the time to prepare and listen, and will go over and above expectations. Joseph is my attorney but more than that my friend and I will forever be in his debt. I can only say thank you for taking time, believing in me, and doing your best always.
