Jerome D. Krings

Jerry has represented businesses and individuals across Wisconsin for over 40 years and has been named to the Wisconsin "Super Lawyers” list for the past nine consecutive years.

Jerry is an experienced attorney whose many legal talents include the ability to draft complex business contracts.  By way of example, Jerry has recently drafted the following for businesses as they being set up, growing, or merging:

• Business Organizational Documents, including but not limited to Operating Agreements, Bylaws, and Partnership Agreements

• Lease Agreements (real estate and/or equipment)

• Purchase and Sales Agreement

• Limited Warranties

• Service Agreements

• Non-Compete Agreements

• Documents required for Mergers and Acquisitions

Jerry also has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate, including acquisition, development, land use, finance, bank loan documentation, leasing, and exchanges.  Jerry has represented lenders, developers, buyers, sellers, and commercial tenants and landlords.  Jerry is adept at methodically untangling the most complex legal issues and factual situations, including serving as counsel in the largest conservation land sale ever transacted in Wisconsin, and representing a receiver in one of the most comlicated real estate disputes in recent Wisconsin history.

In addition, Jerry’s roots in Wisconsin’s farmland have led him to develop a dairy and farm practice that includes representation of dairy trade groups, dairy cooperatives, and dairy businesses.  This farm and dairy practice includes drafting organizational documents and contracts, providing business advice, and advising on regulatory compliance, especially before the Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCAP) and Federal Milk Market Administration.

Jerry graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School, magna cum laude, and served as an editor on the law review.
