Robert R. Henak founded Henak Law Office, S.C., in 2000 with the goal of focusing on what he does best: state and federal post-conviction work and criminal appeals. He has limited his practice almost exclusively to post-conviction and criminal appeals since 1987.
Attorney Henak has represented people charged with crimes on post-conviction matters throughout Wisconsin and on appeal in the Wisconsin appellate courts, as well as in the federal courts, resulting in more than 100 published decisions and a much larger number of unpublished decisions.

"I've known Rob for a number of years, as a result of his advocacy on behalf of clients both at the trial level and on appeal. He is brilliant in his analysis of legal issues, and tireless in pursuing just results for those accused. He also lends his strong voice in supporting efforts to guarantee representation for criminal defendants, as well as combatting efforts to erode the Constitutional protections which are supposed to be protected for those accused. I heartily endorse Rob."
"I endorse this lawyer. Attorney Henak is one of the few Wisconsin attorneys that I seek out for advice when I'm stumped on an appellate issue. He's highly respected by his peers and is routinely relied upon to teach other attorneys about appellate practice issues and is considered to be the attorney for difficult appellate issues in criminal matter."
"Robert Henak is a masterful appellate attorney. Attorneys throughout the state of Wisconsin recognize as canon his thoughts on appellate procedure. What is more, Atty. Henak is not only respected by his peers, but also by the people to whom his representation matters the most: persons in need of a criminal appeals attorney. I wholeheartedly endorse Atty. Henak."
"Rob Henak is a brilliant appellate attorney. His dedication to his clients and the practice of law is inspiring."
"I agree with Mark: Rob Henak is the best private appellate attorney in the state. He looks at each case from every angle possible and his arguments are persuasive and creative. I would not hesitate to recommend Rob to a friend or family member in need, or to use his services myself - which is the highest compliment I can give."
"Robb Henak is the best appellate attorney in the State, at least for criminal matters. This is not only true, it has been true for so long that it is not even seriously debated among experienced criminal trial attorneys. If your client's case turned out badly and you want to know whether you can get him or her a second chance, this is the attorney you call. I have known Robert Henak professionally for twenty years. It is a pleasure to deal with him because he knows what he is talking about and doesn't promise or imply anything that he cannot deliver."
