I am a 1995 graduate of Drake University Law School, with honors. I did my undergraduate work at the University of Iowa, graduating in 1990 with a double major in political science and Russian language. My partner, Michael Clark, and I went to law school together and were prosecutors at the Des Moines County Attorney's Office before moving to private practice. We have 25 years of experience in criminal law, family law (including divorce and child custody) and other areas.

Traffic violation
He did a good job being orgnized for trial, he was truthful with the chances of winning, he was able to bring up good points in the trial to help the jury understand. He does a great job.

I consulted with Scott Shroeder in the past with a child custody in 2008 and he did an excellent job with representing me. Mr. Schroeder inspired me to become a lawyer.
I was a victim of domestic violence, homeless and without income due to my then still pending immigration status. Mr. Schroeder represented me in my divorce pro-bono. Not only that Mr. Schroeder was absolutely amazing and extremely knowledgeable, he is an example of what the Rules of Professional Res...

Avoid
I retained Mr. Schroeder for my child custody battle. Legal representation was strained. Deadlines were not communicated effectively. I wasn't kept up to date. Emails from myself, and the opposing side would go unanswered for days. I spend good money on Mr. Schroeder, found another attorney that...
This client was particularly difficult, as he often refused to listen to 20+ years of legal experience. He complained about numerous aspects of the law, including child support guidelines, and blamed his attorney when the other side rejected his proposals. I have many, many e-mails and phone messages between client and counsel to refute this person's claim of lack of communication. An unfortunate example of a parent who placed more importance on the financial aspects of having a child and threatening the other parent's new significant other than focusing on resolving the case. The client's case was finalized within days of my withdrawal, and no other attorney entered an appearance on his behalf, so client's claim that he hired a new attorney for a fraction of the cost is, shall we say, lacking in credibility.
