Beware of Nancy Thompson's Law Office

Nancy has represented my family for 3 years and terminated representation solely for asking if and how much a service would cost. Not only did she terminate representation but she laughed for asking and hung up during the phone conversation. Nancy was so easily offended that someone would ask the cos...t of something. I've never heard of anything so absurd. Since when do people not wonder how much something would cost. Yes there are fees, yes there are contracts; we weren't asking not to pay we were asking how much, if there were to be a charge. Nancy stated, " I will not represent people who express concern about paying for my services." So do not ask how much her service is as she will not represent you. Nancy has no empathy for her clients and was terrible to work with, no client focus and a total disregard for the people who come to her for assistance, you can see this perfectly in her responses to negative reviews. She lacks any type of customer service. Do not use Nancy Thompson! Find an attorney who is there to work for you and cares about individuals and shows the compassion needed in this field!

Mary, I'm sorry you feel this way and that you misunderstood our phone conversation. But as you know, my termination of representation was required not because of our phone conversation but because of the content and statements in your later email to me. That email created an ethical conflict of interest that prevents me from continuing to represent your parents. I wish them the best in the future.

May As Well Flush Your Money Down The Toilet

Simply a horrible experience. Most attorney's will give an initial consult for free or a small charge. Not this attorney. She charges for each email sent and received.....incorrect information given and she still charged.

I'm sorry you feel you should have received many hours of free legal service from me, despite the written agreement. Each year hundreds of people are grateful to pay for the legal advice and services I give to them. My time and advice is valuable and it's not worth giving away for free to everyone. I have contributed thousands of hours of free services to people who legitimately need it. Last year alone I donated hundreds of hours to a single woman with three minor children so that she and other low income parents could continue to exempt their additional child tax credit in bankruptcy. Right now I'm defending a single unemployed woman for free in a bankruptcy adversary proceeding. But I hope you and your wife are able to resolve all your debt problems on your own. Nancy Thompson
